Splendid Stamping with The Greeting Farm

More fun with Jo, our January Guest Designer...

Happy Thursday everyone! It's me Guest Farmer Jo, am I allowed to call myself that? LOL it sounds so country and official. As January Guest Designer, I created some simple and one dimensional cards, that are very mailer friendly, using the Flutter Heart Clear Stamp Set.

Each image in this set is so versatile and can really stand on their own without all the bells & whistles of embellishments. One of my favorite sentiments in this set is "BOY meets GIRL...", adorable! I think it makes a statement used by itself and I just added some mini heart stickers at the tail end. Stamped inside of the card is the cute couple in the set. It may be difficult to see but I did add a tiny heart sticker on the girl's dress.

This second card, I used the "Love" banner and the lined hearts. I couldn't resist adding glitter, so I punched a scallop border across the bottom and laid red glitter paper underneath to peek out.

Did I mention that the couple image is cute? Well I had to use it again in this 3x3 card. I fussy cut the "Joy" scallop banner, popped it up (not too much so you can still mail it) and used it as a platform for the couple stamped on vellum. I added some more of that glitter paper for sparkle.

So I couldn't resist using the Miss Anya Garland stamp, so I gave her some puffy hearts as wings and added her just below the lined heart background alongside the "Flutter" sentiment.

I had a blast making these cards using the current new releases. Thank you so much for welcoming me with open arms this month. Bye for now.

Jess here with a quick recap of our 2nd Customer Challenge & Chit-Chat night,

"A Night at the Bookstore!"

We are so excited to announce our three winners today...but first of all, a HUGE shout out and thank you to Rachel Parys, our awesome hostess! Rachel not only created three amazing samples for the challenge, but she kept the fun rolling with trivia, chit-chat, and left some lovely comments for our players!

Showcase Farmer Tracy with a Coloring Tip!

Good Morning Ladies! Tracy here from Tracy's Stamping Corner and this is my first official post as a Showcase girl! I am so excited to be on this team....and have loved the warm welcome received!

Today I used Simply Anya. Isn't she a doll? I love that she is so very versatile! I picked up these adorable papers and discovered that I didn't own a single piece of gray ribbon or fabric. Besides that, even if I did, it's kinda of a strange tone of gray. So to fix this I used my copics on a piece of white ribbon.

I used the W's to color Simply Anya, so thats what I grabbed to color up this beautiful ribbon.

You don't have to be perfect because the ink will spread. Meaning, you don't have to worry about getting into all the little grooves of the ribbon. It kind of does the work for you.

Voila! Here is the finished piece perfectly matched to my card!! Hope you enjoyed this little tip.

Hi there! Larisa here to share a few cards with you guys! Hope you are all having a wonderful week and that life is treating you well. I have to tell you, I've been so overwhelmed by all the friendly comments and the unbelievably warm welcome I've received here at the Greeting Farm. You guys are awesome! I'm so excited to be apart of this team and it is my absolute pleasure to work with these adorable stamps...so let's have a look, shall we??

First up is Simply Anya. For this card, I tried to create a romantic look. Something that could be used for an anniversary or Valentine's Day. So I added some felt roses, a few swirls, some rhinestones and voila...instant romance!

For the next card I used Madden. I just love how punk and edgy she is. And that hair!! Wish I had hair like that! For this card, I was going for a retro 80's feel so I stitched on some ribbon and chose some papers that screamed 80's. I also added a big red flower. As you've probably noticed, I have a weakness for flowers and use them on almost every card! I just can't help myself!

For this last card, I used Madden again, but this time I toned it down a little. This paper is actually from a Halloween set, but I chose papers that weren't too Halloween-y and I think it turned out pretty cute. I also got to use my new twine that I purchased at a discount store for $1..yeah!!! I love a deal :)

Showcase Farmer Thanh with a Project ft. Lucky Bunnies

Hiya TGF fans! I hope that your Tuesday is going well so far! The snow has finally come up this way to the the Vancouver, Canada area but I am creating up a storm with the new January releases to warm my way through winter! I just wanted to take a moment to appreciate all of YOU whom have left the sweetest comments on my blog and have given all the DT ladies and myself a warm welcome to the Farm. TGF fans are truly THE best.

As the title says... I wanted to showcase the Lucky Bunnies set, so here we go!

*GASP!!!* Where are those adorable bunnies?! LOL I wanted to show you just how versatile Lucky Bunnies really is and feature the sentiments and the smaller images. With Valentine's Day around the corner, I really wanted to make some yummy and reasonably priced gifts for some of my friends. What a better way to dress up some Hershey's Nuggets than to stamp and wrap labels around them!

The main sentiment on the package itself, "made just for you," is from the Made By Set. You can pick out what I used here if you have a peek at the Lucky Bunnies set:

I've also included a "behind the scenes" photo so you can see exactly what I used.

Showcase Farmer Naomi with A Happy Hello!

Hi everyone! I hope you all had a wonderful weekend!

Naomi here, today, with a couple of cards to share using some of the new stamps from the January Release.

First, though, I'd like to thank all of you for giving me such a WARM welcome during the release blog hop! I am BEYOND thrilled to be a part of the TGF family and am so glad to get the ball rolling here with my very first TGF post!

Well, without further ado, let's get onto the cards!

For my first card, I used the FABULOUS Simply Anya stamp. Isn't Simply Anya simply ADORABLE? She really was a JOY to colour up and I love her versatility. She can truly be used for any occasion and is a must-have for any stamper's collection.

For this second card, I decided to get a little punky and use CC Madden! I have to admit, this was my first time inking up any of my Creepers and man, was it fun to get a little Rock n' Roll! I had seen this funky hair colour used before and thought I'd give it a try. I kept the rest of the card neutral and tried to use minimal orange elsewhere to avoid it looking like a Halloween card...I hope I succeeded!

Showcase Farmer Veronica with cards featuring the january release

Hi Friends!! Veronica here, for my very first blog post as a Showcase farmer!! I think you all can imagine my joy to be part of this amazing Design Team. And THANKS to all of you for the warm welcome!

This card was made for my little niece Tilly's christenings. Don't you just love cute Miss Anya Garland?

One of my favorites from this release is the Made by set. So versatile, perfect both for Layouts

and cards but also to all other things crafty.

For my next card I used Simply Anya and some affirmation from the Lucky bunnies set.

An easy way to decorate the backside of the card is to use some scraps of the papers used on the card.

It almoust looks like the stamp was made for that die =)

Showcase Farmer Peggy with a card Featuring Miss Anya Garland!

Hey everyone! Peggy here with you today to share a card I made featuring the new Miss Anya Garland set! But before that I just want to thank you all for the very warm welcome here at TGF, I am thrilled to be a part of this wonderful family!

I am loving these new Miss Anya Garland stamps, they can be used for so many other occasions and not just Valentines. Today I have used the Miss Anya with a flower garland to make a quick little thank you card. You can never have too many thank yous in your stash for when you need one.

The layout is one of my favorites and it is one I use all the time when I am having trouble with my mojo or need to make a card in a hurry. I know we all know how that feels from time to time! It is always nice to have a layout or two to fall back on when you are stummped!

We are VERY excited to debut our JANUARY Guest Designer, Jo!

Before we get to her absolutely gorgeous projects using the brand new Miss Anya Garland today, I've asked Jo to tell us a little bit about her...so let's get acquainted!

Hi my name is Jo, short for Joanne. Some people know me through YouTube as Paperdrama. I'm married to my #1 fan and supporter, my hubby Sean, for 2 1/2 years. No kiddies yet, so I have plenty of time to devote to my love of crafting. I immediately got into stamping when I began scrapbooking in 2005. I love trying out new techniques and products. My friend Rina was the one who first introduced me to The Greeting Farm nearly two years ago. One of my favorite TGF stamp is Stamping Anya, her shirt says it all. The Anya images are so fun to color, it's like playing dress up trying to decide what color outfit they're going to wear and what accessories can I add to them. I'm so excited to share my creations with everyone. I {heart} The Greeting Farm!

I fell in love with Jo's BLOG the minute I visited and I know you will, too! Be sure to visit today and say hello and welcome her to the Farm family!

Showcase Farmer Emily with a Project Share Featuring the New Lucky Bunnies Clear Stamp Set

Hi Everyone! Emily here. I hope that everyone had a FABULOUS New Year celebration and enjoyed the January Release Blog Hop! I know I sure did! Thank you all for such a warm welcome, and the lovely comments left on my blog. I am SO excited to have been selected as one of the members of the new Showcase DT! I am already having a lot of fun getting to know all of the incredibly talented ladies on the team, as I am sure you will too over the next six months!

Today, I want to share several cards that I created using the new Lucky Bunnies Clear Stamp Set. Lately, I always seem to need cards that I can send along with a gift or give as a small thank you. When I first saw the new Lucky Bunnies set I thought the images and sentiments would be perfect to create a little set of versatile cards to have on hand. When creating these cards I wanted to keep the design simple and the supplies minimal, so that I can easily mass-produce them if I need to in the future.

"Wrapped in Hugs"

You will notice that on the “You are Special” card and the “ It’s Your Day” card, I selectively inked and combined several sentiment stamps from the new Lucky Bunnies set. This allowed me to customize the positioning on both cards, as well as the actual sentiment on the “ You are Special” card by combining two different sentiments from the set. This is a great way to get a little more mileage out of your stamps and is very easy to do when using clear stamps. This is because, unlike rubber stamps, it is very easy to see where you are inking on the stamp itself. Also, you can see where you are actually stamping, which makes lining up text a breeze. I hope that you are inspired to try this with some of your own sentiment stamps.

While we had so much going on today, I wanted to take a minute to introduce our new

showcase team, so in no particular order, here they are....our TGF SHOWCASE Farmers:

Naomi Gong

Hi Everyone! I'm Naomi and I was born and raised in the beautiful Vancouver, Canada area. I live just outside the city with my man and our two feline fur-babies, Tai and Mischa.

I started scrapbooking with my mom 9 years ago when I graduated high school but, to be honest, at the time, I was more interested in my social life. About 4 years ago, I began going to crops with my mom to make her happy. Although I do enjoy scrapbooking and have met many amazing women through it, I never really fell in love with it. In January of 2011, I began making cards and had no idea what I was getting myself into... I barely even knew blogs existed! After discovering Blog Challenges, I reluctantly started my own blog in February because I wanted to participate. The rest is history. I have met so many sweet and supportive ladies and these days I couldn't even imagine a life without crafting and blogging!

In April, I discovered The Greeting Farm and it was LOVE at first sight! TGF has the CUTEST stamps out there and I am THRILLED and TRULY honoured to be designing for my FAVOURITE stamp company and to be working with such a sweet and talented group of gals!

Larisa Hohman

Hi, I'm Larisa and I'm a Stampaholic...there, I've admitted it. That's the first step right??? I'm so excited to be here as a Showcase Designer!!!! I've been Scrapbooking for a little more than ten years and stamping for just over two. Boy, does time fly! As soon as I saw what Copic markers could do, I was hooked! In my spare time, when I'm not crafting, I teach high school English. I absolutely love it! The kids keep me on my toes and there's never a dull moment! I live in a small town in Texas with my husband of five years and though we don't have any children yet, we do have two little fur babies, a chihuahua and a red healer, to keep us busy! Like I said, I'm super excited to be apart of the Greeting Farm Team and I can't wait to get crafting!

Samantha Peyton

My name is Samantha. I recently got married and will we will be celebrating our first year of marriage later this month. We were together almost 6 years before finally getting married. Hy husband is finishing up his last semester of grad school and I too am a recent college graduate. We now live in Knoxville,TN with our two adorable pups, which you will see time and time again in my scrapbook layouts if you visit my blog. They are my children. I spend pretty much all my time either in my craft room stamping and creating, or talking about being in my craft room stamping and creating. Aside from crafting & spending time with my family, you can find me watching Criminal Minds (LOVE Dr. Reid), baking, or playing Bakery Story on my iPhone.

Thanh Vo

Hiya TGF Fans! I’m Thanh (pronounced “tan”). I live in the Metro Vancouver area of Canada in a suburban apartment. The reason why I’m telling you about my spatial situation is because we all know how much STUFF we can acquire in the paper crafting world. You can imagine how organized I must be with my, ahem, essential items. *wink* I work full-time during the day and I can be found in my little haven at night either sipping a cup of tea or a yummy martini! I have no kids or pets yet, but a dear boyfriend who is a graphic artist and understands the STUFF I just mentioned above, lol.

I originally started with scrapbooking but I would agonize over a layout and it would take me days, weeks to complete a full page spread! I took a long break and then discovered stamping and as they say, the rest is history! My style? I would say somewhere along the lines of whimsy-chic. I am attracted to bright and fun colours of patterned paper and absolutely adore my Copics and TGF stamps.

I am SO excited and honoured to be on the Showcase DT with all these other talented ladies and I look forward to getting to know all of you over the next 6 months!

Emily Martina

I am currently finishing up my final year as an undergrad with a focus in printmaking at the Maine College of Art. When I am not in the studio, I can usually be found amidst a pile of patterned paper, stamps as far as the eye can see, ink pads, lace, ribbons, punches and of course my trusty ATG. I have been crafting and making art since I got my first box of Crayola crayons, and I have not turned back since. I started making cards about two years ago, but I have been a long time scrapbooker and paper addict. I purchased my first Greeting Farm Stamps last summer, and I have been growing my collection ever since! While I love all the adorable TGF characters, I especially adore the Creeper Crew and Cheeky Cherry’s. I am so excited to have the opportunity to play along with all of you and the super talented FarmerS!

Veronica Ohlsson

My name is Veronica, I'm 34 y old and I live in Sweden with my hubby Martin and our two boys Melker (7) and Viggo (5). I work as an optometrist and I really love my job eventhough it's quite busy sometimes. I started scrapbooking 4 years ago and I realized that I found the best way to relax after a tough day at work (or after an even tougher day home with the boys...;-) I red somewhere: It's not a hobby anymore - it's an obsession!! So true!!

In the beginning I only made LOs but then I found the wonderful world of stamps and started to play with markers. I was introduced to TGF by my friend Anna Maria and it was love at first sight! My collection is growing and my kids love them as well. I have two crafting boys who loves to sit beside me and create. My oldest son is in the1st grade and many of his (boy)friends wants to play at our place so they play with all stamps, scissors and glue =)

Hey everyone! My name is Peggy and I live in beautiful British Columbia. I am married and have 3 wonderful boys who all support this crazy obsession I have with all things stamping! I have been stamping now for about 6 years and blogging for almost 4. I love that this is such a wonderful and supportive community and have made some amazing friends through this hobby both in real life and online. I have been dreaming of working on the farm since I got my first Greeting Farm stamp. I'm so thrilled and honored to be on this team with such an amazing group of talented women!

Tracy Valure

Hello, I'm Tracy and I live in Sunny South Florida! I have been happily married to my best friend for 13 years. I have two fabulous children - Michael, 12, and Kara, 7. My mother-in-law introduced me to scrapbooking right after getting married. We found our way into the stamping world and I have been been stamping for about 10+ years now. I love to do both, but find the most pleasure in card making. I think because it is instant gratification!! I work full time. In my spare time (gasp!) I love to read and SHOP! My husband and I also do alot of traveling. Just say the word and I will be on the next flight! I'm a huge facebook junkie. I love social networking. I also love to go out! Hubby and I try to have a date night every other weekend, kid free! I am so grateful to to be here designing for The Greeting Farm!!!! I hope we have a long run together and you all enjoy viewing the creations just as much as I enjoy creating them!

Heart Journaling - Congrats

CONGRATULATIONS!!!!

To Everyone who has stuck with and made it to the finish line of our Art Journaling class. It has been an awesome 23 weeks of creative partying!!! We are so proud of you. This class has been a sweet success and I hope that you've enjoyed it. We hope to do more fun projects like this again! Before we showcase a few of last week's final project, we'd like to thank all of our 'graduating' participants by sending you a special little package in the mail sometime within the next week or so. It's actually taking a little longer than we expected to put together but we really think you will love it and give it great purpose! lol.

LUCKY BUNNIES, that is!

YES! The long-retired and one of the VERY FIRST TGF SETS is back in a CLEAR version and we are THRILLED to bring it to you!

A VERY Cheeky Christmas with guest Jammie Clark...

Is it seriously only 2 days until Christmas?!?!? Where the heck did this month go?
Anyone who knows me at all knows that I adore my Cheekies, and I find any way possible to use them. Cheekies have graced cookies, cakes, cards, scrapbook pages, and they have even made it to gift wrap, and wreaths!!! I’m constantly trying to think of new ways to use my favorite girls!

With Christmas just a few days away, I sat in my kitchen today wondering what I could do for my last project as GD for TGF. I wanted to do something fun, something innovative, something that I haven’t seen in the gallery yet. Then I got to pondering…I think I may need a drink… Ok, so then it hit me!!!
I just had to make these totally Cheekie Cocktail Glasses!
And a couple of close ups:

I etched my beloved Cheekies into martini glasses, because after a long day of being in the kitchen baking up a storm for all of the last minute guests who keep popping into our house, I’m going to need a Cheekie Cocktail, or two! ha ha ha

Really though, I’m not much of a drinker, but hey, you’ll probably find me drinking water out of these, just because they are sooooooo stinking cute!
I wish you and yours a very Merry Christmas, or whatever winter holiday you celebrate. I’m sad that this is my last post for my guest spot on TGF, but add my blog to your list as I’m not going anywhere! I’ll be participating in all the super duper fun challenges (because believe it or not, my set of Cheekies is NOT complete) and contributing in any way I can! I Love the Farm and I’m so grateful for my time here, to Jess and Marie I want to send you huge virtual hugs and oh so much gratitude! Thanks girls for such a great company, adorable stamps, and the opportunity to showcase just a few things that I can do with your images. A Heartfelt Farmer Farewell...

Hi, everyone...

....It's posts like these that make me realize that sometimes, there just aren't enough words....and even more than that, not enough time. I can't believe how fast this past 6 months has gone by enjoying all of the fabulous creations, fun conversations, and getting to know our last group of Farmers.

These ladies were some of the most easy-going, awesomely helpful, and uber-creative women that I've had the pleasure of working with and saying goodbye to this particular group of Farmers has been extra hard for us... I have a feeling that you'll be seeing some of them around the Farm again from time to time, but for now, it is time to bid them farewell. To Denice, Carisa, Kim, Becca, and Tracey...words cannot express how thankful I am to have had the pleasure of working with you. Your HUGE talent and wonderful personalities will be missed beyond measure and I consider myself SO blessed to have had this time with you girls...

The past six months have been a blur…from the minute Jess sent an email asking if I would be interested in becoming a farmer to this week’s AWESOME customer blog hop…..I’ve enjoyed every minute of being a part of TGF’s DT! Through it all I’ve had the opportunity to meet and hang with some extremely talented crafters and am honored to be able to “drop names” by saying I was on the same DT as each of these creative ladies.

As for the TGF followers….you guys are the best! Each of you have been so supportive and have left the sweetest comments ...you really know how to make a Farmer feel special!

Lastly, heartfelt thanks to Marie and Jess for letting me be me by doing what it is that I like to do…and I got to do it with my all-time favorite stamps! Even though my term is up, I’m not going very far…I’m still going to be hanging around and joining in all the fun as much as I can. And just like all of you, I can’t wait to see the new releases, and meet the new Farmer’s and see all of their wondrous creations.

Truly, my heart belongs to TGF!

It's not goodbye, just see you later. I have absolutely LOVED my time as a farmer with The Greeting Farm. These past 6 months have been proof that DREAMS DO COME TRUE as long as you keep reaching for them! I've been a fan of TGF since I first started stamping 3 years ago and I'm absolutely amazed that I was able to be a part of their family in such an inspiring way. TGF fans are the best, you've all left such welcoming and encouraging comments each time I posted and I loved being able to share new tutorials with you along the way as well. The card I'm sharing today isn't one that has been seen before here or on my blog as it was published in the most recent issue of Copicendium. I was excited to be able to share my love of coloring with copies in a magazine devoted to copies and when asked I knew I would use my go to stamps for coloring which have and always will be The Greeting Farm! I am excited to see the new changes in 2012 for TGF and won't be very far as Marie and Jess continue to bring the best of the best in stamps and designs to the farm. I want to thank Jess and Marie for allowing me this opportunity and Denice, Becca, Tracy and Kim for always being a source of inspiration and encouragement. I'm going to miss it but I know fun things are definitely in the works and I have joined a very fabulous group of alumni farmers!!! May all your dreams come true in 2012!

Time sure flies by! I can't believe I have been at the Farm for six months already! It has truly been a wonderful experiencie working along aside such talented team! Thank you so much, Marie and Jess for having me! It has been such an honor! Even though my term comes to an end, i will definitely not be a stranger here as I LOVE The Greetng Farm! Who can resist such adorable images, right, especially when Marie continues to provide us with even cuter ones! I sure can't! I will definitely be around for a long time!

How do I sum up my last six months as a Greeting Farm Farmer???? Fantastic, Superb, Miraculous, Amazing, Fun, Creative, Inspirational, a Dream Come True? I am not sure those adjectives do it justice, but I am not sure how to put it into words. I have had the most amazing time with these incredibly talented ladies, and loved every minute of working with them and the amazing Greeting Farm images. Thank you all for letting me share a bit of my creative outlet with you, I hope that I have offered a bit of inspiration to others along the way. Thank you to Jess and Marie for trusting me and asking me to be on this amazingly talented team, I hope I have done them justice. I have loved every minute of my time on the Farm, and am going to miss it terribly. However, my love of The Greeting Farm runs deep, so I will sill be close by, participating and gaining inspiration from the newest Farmers on the block. Thanks again, and remember to get crafty!!!!!

Well, where do I begin? Being asked to join the TGF as a farmer just 6 months ago could only be described as the pinnacle of my little "crafting career". I was shocked but also deeply honored that Jess and Marie would choose little old me with no previous DT experience to be a farmer. But I am so glad they did because the last 6 months have been awesome in very way. I could write pages about my experience and everything I have learnt, both creatively and personally but instead I would like to thank Jess and Marie for the incredible opportunity they have given me, and thank the lovely TGF customers for their many kind comments. I have loved every minute of my time with TGF and say a very sad farewell to The Farm. I definitely wont be a stranger though as I love TGF stamps too much.

How's that for one, farewell round-up of talent???? Man, I'm gonna miss you guys!

What IS a TGF Premiere Farmer?

As you all know, we have decided to split our Farmers into two groups, our "PREMIERE" group will be handling previews. "The TGF Premiere Farmers" are a small group selected by Jess and Marie to bring you a broader spectrum of samples during preview week and hopefully, a larger amount of ideas during that week than ever before! We have a very different array of design styles among this team and are VERY excited to show you all different kinds of techniques and samples from super clean and simple to elaborate and beyond!

TGF is switching things up a bit for 2012 by separating our Farmers into two groups; the "TGF PREMIERE Farmers, who'll bring you an even more power-packed week of previews, and our SHOWCASE DT, which we had an open call for and you'll also be seeing those girls in action very soon! TGF is proud to be changing and growing with some of the best designers in blog land and we can't wait to get started!

Top Crop Tuesday with Carisa

Hi TGF Fans!!

I'm excited and sad to be bringing my last Top Crop Tuesday post for my term as a farmer. I'm not setting a great example being late with it! I kept meaning to do it and time just crept away from me. Yesterday was one of those days where it seemed everything kept going wrong and by the end of the day I wanted a do over or to have a good cry in the corner because I felt like I was failing at EVERYTHING, esp being a good mom. But it's a brand new day now and I'm prepared with a list & some new Christmas tunes I just got from iTunes so without further adieu lets take a look at what I've found in our galleries this week. This is sure to brighten any one's day!!!

This gorgeous card features Odette from the WS- Roll Call kit by Paperbag-Princess on SCS. I love the vintage feel to her coloring and embellishments. I can't get enough of stick pins and lace!

How cute is Happy New Year Anya ready for 2012!!! The great thing about digital images is that while this original image has 2011 in her banner, LadyB266 was able to erase it in her software before printing her out.

How cute is this shaker box featuring Anya from the Xmas Sweeties set by Jamiek11!!! Just love it.

I adore this perfect for any little boy Christmas card - just look at that perfect stitching!! One of my favorite Oliver and Amelia sets called Oh Happy Day by raparys.

And last, I wanted to share some Chrstimas cards I made for my girls to color and give to their friends/family using the digital Elf Anya!! I centered the image in Photoshop so that when I printed it out, I could just cut the paper in half and fold to make a simple card for the kids. I centered the sentiment underneath the image before printing. Super easy and LOVE digi's to make fast & easy cards for the kids. I can see doing this for birthdays, valentines and so much more!

So, that's it for me. My last post as a farmer, *sniff, sniff* It's been an awesome ride for sure and I gotta say TGF has some of the best fans ever. You have always left the sweetest comments and I'm so glad I've gotten to know you and the rest of the farmer's a lot better over the last 6 months!!! I can't wait to see who will be the next group come Jan!!

I was thrilled when I won the contest on Facebook to be this month's guest designer, I have loved The Greeting Farm for so long and have always wanted to be a Farmer. Thank you to everyone who voted!!! I have been stamping now for 6 or 7 years but it really didn't become the obsession that it is until I started blogging in 2008. Since then my little hobby has taken over and I am so happy it has, I have met some great people and made some wonderful friends along the way.

I also enjoy camping and swimming with my family in the summer, I am not a big fan of snow or the cold so in the winter you can find me reading or baking goodies when I am not stamping.

Today I have used the super sweet Cuddle Anya along with a few of my favorite stamping must haves! I would be lost without my sewing machine and kraft cardstock, and of course my Copic markers!

THURSDAY THROWBACK WITH CREEPER LESLIE

Hi there everyone. Hope you're all having a fabulously crafty week. I know i haven't been in my craft room as much as i would have liked with so much to do in preparation for the upcoming Christmas celebrations.

Thursday at THE FARM means it's time for a throwback. That means i have the opportunity to play with an older TGF stamp set. One of my favorite sets is the CREEPER COLLECTION NO 1. I love all of the characters in that set, but i particularly like to paper piece with Creeper Leslie, so that is what i did today.

I paper pieced Leslie's jeans with denim DP, and really wanted this to be a feature. Eventually i found some old denim from my DD's cutoff jeans that i have had stashed away for literally years, and it was just the look i was hoping for. I also used my airbrush with some YR31 around the edhes of my colored image.

I hope i have inspired you to dig into your stash and have a play with some TGF stamps that you haven't used in a while.

Good Morning! It’s Farmer Denice here with another Top Crop Tuesday and I have to say that I’m loving all the holiday and Twilight cards that have been uploaded uplately...they're so sparkly and fun to look at, and we all know GLITTER is my BFF!

Here are some awesome cards I saw while going through the different galleries this week:

Over at TGF Gallery is this gorgeous card by RAPARYS, I love her color choices and the grey/black hair.

This gorgeous card is by Bcgirlonmoon, her coloring and DP are a perfect combo!

Over at SCS/TGF’s are some wonderful uploads by Paperbag Princess...don't you love her coloring?!!

During the Movie Night Chat TRICIAW made this adorable card about one of her fav movies.

Amy Y. used soft and warm colors and Cheeky Cherry Pie...and what a great sentiment she used.

If you haven't been to TGF’s FB page you need to check it out because there are some beautiful cards that have yet to be uploaded to either TGF or SCS galleries. This is by Stephanie Seelye...isn't Amelia just the sweetest?!! Great use of shadowing too!

Designer Spotlight with Jammie, our resident TREAT specialist!

Hey, everyone!

We have another fun post today by JAMMIE, our Holiday Guest designer and resident TGF treat extraordinaire!

Said in my best (non-creepy-Jack-Nicholson voice, LOL!) voice...Heeeeeeeeeee'res JAMMIE:

I know that everyone expects me to bake… But sometimes, I just want to do something that is, well… not baked. ha ha ha So, being as I’m completely addicted to Pinterest, and I found an idea for a candy wreath on there, here’s what I decided to do:
You can soooooo do this too!! start with a foam wreath from the craft store (seriously like $3), then add mints with hot glue (I used 3 bags, so about 4 lbs. of mints, at $1 per bag) and then a ribbon. Here’s a close up of our little angelic friend:

I do hope that your Christmas is the sweetest ever! Make one of these little wreaths and give to a friend, and they will have a sweet Christmas too!

*TGF "SHOWCASE" Farmers DT CALL***

Hey, everyone!

I'm here with a REALLY exciting announcement today regarding some changes to the TGF Design Teams!

Beginning in January 2012, The Greeting Farm will be splitting our Farmers into two teams, our "Premiere" Farmers, who will primarily bring you Previews and Release day excitement, and our "Showcase" Farmers, who will carry out the excitement of our new bimonthly release program (beginning Jan. 2012) for the rest of the 2 month span!

While our new PREMIERE Team is preparing to bring you some show-stopping January release samples, we have some SHOWCASE Team slots to fill!

We are looking to add 6-8 Designers with Active Blogs to our TGF Family and for the first time in a WHILE, I'm excited to bring you this OPEN CALL.

Here are a few pieces of info about the new "Showcase" Team:

*Designers must have active personal blogs and have an active SCS presence and/or be willing to have one :)

*Designers must commit to creating at least 3 samples per stamp set within "Showcase" period. (on or around the 1st of the month and before the 15th of the NEXT month).

*Designers must commit to emailing samples of every card created to Jess/Marie, post them to your personal blogs and/or the TGF Blog according to a monthly schedule (to be determined by TGF) and also be willing to mail in 2 cards per month to Marie w/ permission to use at trade shows, conventions, etc.

* Designers must be willing to commit to a 6 month period and be willing to participate in TGF release events, blog hops, special promotions, SCS chat nights, Facebook activities, etc.

*Designers must be willing to participate in a weekly challenge.

Ok! So...are we excited???? If so....

Hi Friends! Yayyyy this is week 20 which means we are within the home front! I can see the light at the end of this journal journey!!! haha. I am so proud of everyone is has participated and kept up with us this entire time! Hang in there for a 3 more weeks! We are gonna get there and you guys are going to have such beautiful journals.

Top Crop Tuesday - Holiday Style

It’s Farmer Denice here and I can’t believe that November is almost over and in just a couple of days it will be December...I think it’s official that we are in the midst of the holiday season! If you haven’t had the opportunity to check out the galleries lately grab yourself a cuppa and sit back and relax, here are a couple of holiday cards that caught my eye while cruising both TGF and SCS galleries. Maybe you’ll find the inspiration you’re looking for to finish up on the last of your holiday cards...or maybe you're like me and still have a few to make?!!

RAPARYS used the Naughty or Nice set for this gorgeous card...I think Santa is definately going to say N-I-C-E!!!!

HAPPYCAPPY is right, this card is perfectly merry and bright!

What a sweet and delicate card by NRSGOODBODY, and look at Daisy's green eyes...they could melt any Grinch's heart!

If you haven't seen this card by BEATE at SCS, check out her tutorial for this telescoping card. Clearly, she has a little bit of ELF in her to make this kind of magic happen.

JASLUV2CREATE used non-traditional holiday colors and Sasha on this Christmas tag proving not everything has to be silver and gold...LOVE THIS!!!

TGF Presents a real TREAT today: a SURPRISE December Guest Designer!

Hi everyone!

Hope you and your families had a wonderful weekend and to all of our US friends, a very happy Thanskgiving! I for one, am stuffed! It's amazing to me that my block literally "lit up like Christmas" just a day or two after the Thanksgiving holiday...but I'm ready and EXCITED For it!

Before we begin, thanks to all who took time out of their busy weekend schedule to participate in our "Thanksgiving Twilight" hop! Congrats to MARIA THERESE and SHARON G! You are the two winners of the "I DO" set- be sure to email me (jess) and let me know your addresses! How fun!

We have quite a few surprises for you throughout the month of December, including some awesome posts from Peggy Toole, winner of our December Guest Designer contest and much more...however, today, I'm THRILLED to introduce you to Jammie Clark, our Holiday Treat Guest Designer and you'll be seeing a few other projects from her as well in the coming weeks :)

We were SO impressed with her awesome baking skills, I thought what better a way to showcase some non-traditional ways to use TGF than with some delightful treats by Jammie?

Gosh, it seems WAY to early to start saying that, but alas, here I am announcing it to anyone who casts a glance in my direction. To say I love this time of year, is a gross understatement. Which brings me to telling you a little bit about myself:

I moved to Idaho five years ago after a career as a 911 dispatcher and perpetual Administration of Justice student in northern California. My husband, who is also in law enforcement, and I were expecting, and decided that two parents working shift work was not the way to raise a child. So we re-located (along with some other family members as well, because who wants to raise a baby without grandparents around right? My parents and my husband’s mom also moved to Idaho around the same time frame).

After moving to Idaho, I became crafty. I opened a bakery, and got a few stamp sets from my cousin, Lena, who was selling SU! at the time. After she got me addicted (yeah, that’s the word) she opened me to a world that I had never imagined possible. Inks and stamps, markers and pencils, and every type of paper and scrap you could glue to another! I never looked at any item the same again. Then one day it happened, we were online together searching for something new, something fun, and I found TGF! Oh happy day!!!

I enjoy collecting TGF stamps. To me, they are sort of like adopting children. They look at me with their big eyes and just beg to be taken home and loved. So it do! he he he! I do EVERYTHING with my beloved stamps. So much so that my mother (yeah my mom!!!) suggested I get Cheeky Rockabilly tattooed on me (that’s just how much I use her!)!!! Perhaps… we’ll see…. maybe…..

It occurred to me that I was limiting myself too much by just using these adorable kids on paper… I mean… there’s got to be more! And being a baker… my natural instinct was…CAKE!!! After baking 3 different cakes, and frosting them, I would wake up to crumbs on the plate (my husband works graveyards mostly, so I either had a very big mouse, or a man with a very early morning sugar addiction, I’ll let you decide!) So, I needed to be even more creative…. hummm…… CHOCOLATE!!!!!

I present to you…..drum roll please… CHEEKY CHOCOLATES!

I made a double layered chocolate bark with milk and white chocolates, then I spread a very thin layer of milk chocolate (next time I’ll use Dark so that it shows up a bit better) on parchment paper and “inked” my stamp. I pressed the image, very carefully, onto the hardened bark (yeah, I broke a few in the process) and broke it into pieces. The other stamps you see here are a SU! set I purchased from my cousin. And there you have it, Cheekie chocolates! How fun is that?!?!?!? (Notice my fave girl is front and center, yet again!)

It's Tuesday and I am bringing you this week's edition of Top Crop Tuesday! Got to browse through the TGF Gallery and the Splitcoaststampers Gallery and found some eye candy that caught my eyes. Let's take a look at what I found...

Saw this wonderful card by Stamponme featuring WS Joseph (aka Jacob, before he became a wolf, hehehe). Love the fun bright colors and layout.

Tantalize created this gorgeous card (in my fave color, ok sorta) using WS Savannah. Color combo rocks and the mix of papers and embellies are fantastic! (hmm, I think she may have some resemblance to Esme ??)

DESIGNER SPOTLIGHT with FARMER TRACEY

Hi there all. As most of you probably already know, Monday means designer spotlight time at The Greeting Farm, and today it's my turn in the spotlight.

So, a little bit about me. I live in a large rural town(100,000 pop) called Ballarat in Victoria, Australia with our 4 gorgeous daughters and gender outnumbered husband. After retiring from work as a doctor, i set up my own scrapbooking store almost 4 years ago, and it probably goes without saying that i love my job very much.

My papercrafting journey started with scrapbooking some 6 years ago, but since discovering copic markers a little over a year ago, my passion is now cardmaking. I could ramble on for hours, so instead i thought i would come up with a list of my top 10 cardmaking supplies/tools/techniques.

1. Greeting Farm stamps.
2. Copic markers.
3. Paper pads
4. Kraft cardstock.
5. Twine
6. Cloud paper.
7. Grass die
8. Tiny paper flowers
9. paper piecing
10. Making scenes.

Phew, what a list. When i color an image,one of my most favorite things to do is to create a background scene that i can put it on rather than just placing it on a plain piece of card. So, i've created a card to share with you today using this technique, and i think i have used nearly everything on my top 10 list.

I hope you like my card, and that i have inspired you to create something special today or sometime soon.

Omigosh, is it almost Thanksgiving already??? It's all coming so fast! But it's sooo delicious! haha! We will be having it at Mom-in-Law's this year. Yayy Lily's first Thanksgiving. She is going to love mashed potatoes and yam. Luckily Ray's mom is a great cook. I, on the otherhand, need serious training. But I did make meatloaf and enchiladas for the first time last week. :) Lily, momma's learning for you! haha. All this talk about food is making my stomach grumble. Let's look at some delicious pieces of work now shall we?

Thursday throwback with Fuzzy Wuzzy

Hi all!!!

It's me, Farmer Becca, here with this weeks Throwback Thursday. I just love Throwback Thursdays, as it is an excuse (like I need another one!!! LOL) to pull out some of my fave older Greeting Farm stamps and give them some inky love!

Well, this week I am getting into the holiday spirit a bit. The weather is getting colder, I have been wearing my favorite boots, I am looking forward to spending the holidays with my wonderful family, the stores are already decorating and playing Christmas music, and I have only one more day of teaching before a week off for the holiday break! Yipppppeeeee. All of those things put me in a great mood, and set my sights on much needed crafty time.

Ok, back to my inspiration for today. Due to this cold weather/holiday spirit I am in, I chose to showcase Amelia from the Fuzzy Wuzzy set. I just LOVE her!!!!

Isnt she adorable? I love this set as it is so versatile. You can use it for any occasion, and the sentiments that come with it are perfect for those winter season cards. LOVE them!!!
I hope I have inspired you today to ink up some of your older favorites. The colder weather really makes me want to lock myself in my warm craft room with a cup of hot chocolate, and just play all day! I hope we all get the opportunity! Thanks for joining me today. Now, let's get crafty!!!!!!!!

Designer Spotlight with Kris P!

Howdy Farm Friends! Kris here with you today turning the spotlight on myself!! Yay!!

Where do I even begin?! Let's start with... I was over the TOP when Jess asked me to guest design with The Greeting Farm and the Farmers this month!! You know my answer to that! It is truly a privilege to be crafting with these girls and and to play with these CUTE and FUN stamps... It's such a SUPER exciting time for me as i've been following TGF since 2009, right about the time I started my blog... My first ever TGF purchase consisted of Flutter Anya, Princess Anya and WS Edward... And well, to this day, my collection has grown... (and quite a bit too, =D)

I LOVE card making and do it often, but i DO love creating alterables and 3D projects too! So guess what i've got to share with you?!?
An altered item! It was only right for me to use a stamp from my first purchase to do my spotlight and decide to go with Flutter Anya because i just LOVE her... hehehe! This is an altered photo album that features some things that I like... I mean LOVE... =D Well, I do love me some patterned paper and probably have enough to last me years (but I still buy more), embellishments are a MUST, even if simply used like this... Glitter will spice up any creation and I do enjoy the spark! And a fave technique, which I don't do often enough, is paper piecing! Flutter Anya's outfit is paper pieced...

Besides, my love for paper crafts and TGF, i'm a wife to my high school sweetie and mother to 3 wonderful kiddies... Crafting has been in my blood ever since I was little, starting off with crayons and color books and now to stamps and copics... Whenever I have a little free time, I also enjoy reading a good book and hope to travel the world someday! =D

It's starting to really get cold here in Colorado and has snowed a few times already. I really felt like this year just zoomed by, probably because now I have a child and I guess every year is just going to keep going by faster and faster. Lily, btw, has been learning to stand on her own. Grandma is devastated she is growing up too fast. haha! Design-wise, we are cooking up some new stuff for you for 2012 that I think everyone will enjoy!!!

Thursday Throwback with Miss Anya Lounge!

Hello! Farmer Kim here today to share a project with you guys!

I said this before but I just have to say it again! I LOVE Thursday Throwback! It is a chance for me to play with my good older TGF stamps! I say that because crafting time is pretty limited for me these days so any chance I get to play ANY of my TGF stamps is GREAT!

Today I used the Miss Anya Lounge set. I have special memories with this set because this set was released when I was a Guest at Club Anya and Friends last year October! I still remember the excitement when Jess asked me! So yes, this set definitely has a special place in my heart! hehe

For the Miss Anya Lounge preview last October, I altered three mini notepads. I never gotten around to make a bag to go with each notepads so guess what I have to share today?? :) Three matching canva bags!

I am the world's biggest procrastinator so after a year, I finally got the complete set done! LOL These are for my son's preschool teachers, for Thanksgiving. I couldn't decide which bag is for who (there are a total of 7 teachers) so no personalization yet.

Oh yes, you probably want to know how I made these? :) I bought these canvas bags from Michael's. These bags measures approximately 5.5 inches x 5.5 inches.

I placed a piece of cardboard in the bag, to make sure I get a flat surface before stamping my image with Mememto ink. I then colored the image with Copic markers. It's actually very easy to color on fabric. The only thing to remember is DON'T color too close to the edge; otherwise, it will bleed. However, it if does bleed, just correct it with the colorless blender.

Well, that's all I have for you guys today! I hope you all enjoy looking at my little project as much as I enjoyed making them!

Designer Spotlight with Denice

Good Morning TGF Peeps! It’s Farmer Denice here and not only do a have a small project to show you today, but I also have a little tip I’m going to share that I discovered a couple of months ago. Let’s get started...

Did you see the Keep Cozy set that was offered at the Farmer’s Market last month? I sure did and immediately put the adorable set in my cart and as always it was delivered to my door with the great service that we’ve all become accustomed to from The Greeting Farm. Fast service, savings, and stamps I {heart}...SCORE one for Farmer Denice!!

IMHO, it’s never too early to start making tags for the holiday and the word “NEVER” deserves repeating here because I have several nieces and nephews who all receive handmade tags each year, a retail job that requires extra hours during the holidays, and four kiddos at home...so it’s always good to get a head start on the holidays when I get the chance. Not only did I use the Keep Cozy set but I also used the snowflakes from the Clear Christmas set to make these tags. Brrrrr...

I thought I’d used the adorable new Holiday Anya to share a little tip I discovered a couple of months ago while using my Copics to color an image. It's pretty obvious I oversaturated the paper and the ink bled out, extending beyond the image lines. Ewwww...

I digressed about how it seems to take patience when using a blending pen to push the color back into the image and seeing how I’m an impatient person...I grabbed my white Pentel gel pen and colored over the leaking ink. Not only did it match my Neenah Solar White cardstock but it also disguised my out-of-image coloring (a.k.a. sloppy) well enough for me use the image on a project. It was super quick with great results!

I sure hope you find that little tid-bit helpful! Maybe you have a tip or two you’d like to share too...we’d love to hear them!

Today marks the start of week 16 in our heART Journaling activity:

WEEK 16: "Heart to Heart"

Use hearts on your page and have a little "heart to heart" with your soul while doing so, right?

I love how all of these showcase the "heart" as the art! Some are narrated, some are just beautiful mixed media art pieces to feast our eyes on... all diverse and all very fun to look at! Can't wait to see what YOU come up with for WEEK 16!

Sorry I don't have a sample just yet for you today- Ive been burning the candle at both ends this week, yikes! I sure am looking fwd to some crafty time this weekend!

...and speaking of crafty, let's highlight some of last week's AWESOMEness usin' the sticky stuff!

Week 15 was a great challenge to get out that sticky stuff- stickers, tape, masking tape, etc. Even postage stamps! I LOVED this week's entries!

Throwback Thursday with Cheeky Mate!!

Hi TGF Fans!!

Farmer Carisa here with our weekly Throwback Thursday post. I had fun picking out which stamp to use today - I dug thru my older drawer of stamps and found Cheeky Mate which is one of my favs. I think she was one of the original Cheeky Cherry gals to be released and I'm happy to say she is STILL available at The Greeting Farm.

So........I had this brilliant idea to tape myself coloring her since I was going to use the "no lines" technique and I know last time I did this, I had a lot of requests for a tutorial of sorts. Well, I don't know about YOU but I'm a SLOW colorer......like 60 minutes worth of video that I edited to under 15 minutes. LOL Well, wouldn't you know I'm having issues SAVING that video so I will continue to work on that tonight and hopefully have it up on the blog tomorrow morning. I am SO sorry about that! Sometimes brilliant ideas aren't so easy to execute. I'm super bummed b/c I was so excited to share the video with you today -- But I'm not giving up quite yet!!!

But to hold you over, I DO have the card that I made with the final colored image. I absolutely love it and am planning on giving it to my dad for Veteran's Day next week.

Halloween is right around the corner!!! As promised to my sister, I did really take 'Halloweenish' photos of Lily. haha. We took these in the small grassy corner of our non-existent front yard. Lily was a good sport, although couldn't get a smile out of her. Ray said we were tormenting her by dressing her in a ridiculous pumpkin costume. Hey man, I'm her mother, I pushed her out during labor, I DESERVE pumpkin pictures!!! Lily will be 10 months on Halloween.
