Guest Designer Monday with Annie Rose

Hello everyone!  Today I am going to share a way to use the same card layout and sentiment to achieve different seasonal looks.

I used two images from the new Miss Anya Scarves stamp set and the "Season's Greetings" sentiment stamp from the Sparkling Season clear stamp set.

I came up with the layout I wanted to use and then colored my images.

This card is wishing you greetings from the Winter holiday season.  I colored this Anya in the traditional red and green Christmas colors and selected some matching paper and ribbon.

This next card, although using the same sentiment, is wishing you greetings from the Autumn harvest season.  By coloring Anya in warm, gold-toned colors and selecting matching papers and ribbon, it totally changes the meaning of the sentiment.

These cards are approximately 3.5 in x 4.5 in (8.89cm x 11.43cm), slightly smaller than the typical card size, and they came together really quickly!  Since the layout is simple, you could easily use this idea for your holiday cards.  Get a bunch of The Greeting Farm images colored up, pick out some matching papers, and get to it -- assembly-line style!

Hopefully this will give you encouragement to look through your own stamp sets to get ideas about using sentiments for more than one specific holiday or season. It's like doubling your stamp collection instantly! :)
