Designer Spotlight with Jack

Today it's Designer Spotlight day at the Greeting Farm, and now the turn has come to me. This time I'm working with the lovely guy stamp Jack.
I like strong and bold colours, and turqoise is no exception, although orange is my definite favourite :-). I started things off by colouring his hair with blue hues, and after that there was no other way to go but making it all blue :-).
And just because Jack's a tough guy (who I'm I kidding... he's a pussycat...) - I decided on putting a purple spiderweb punch out to emhpasize that.

By the by...
I love Halloween, and whenever I can put in something Halloweeney in my projects, my heart skips a beat.
For the past two years, I've constantly gone back to using corrugated paper, just because I think it gives some great texture to the projects.

The Grey-Black paper in the background is a smashing paper that you can sandpaper to make the stars come to life.

..

All the best to you all, from Sari :-).

Website Update...

Hello friends,

Jess here just poppin' in w/ an update regarding the site.  Due to the holiday weekend, we are being told it could be through the weekend that our website is down :(

We are SO sorry for this inconvenience.  Please note that TUESDAY, APRIL 26th will be the NEW date for the Newsletter Coupon code to go into effect (for that day only).

In the meantime, we hope you all have a wonderful Easter weekend and enjoy the Farm Fresh Challenge blog for some fun before we are back up and running!

Thank you so much!
Jess and Marie :)

FYI

Hey friends, ok so apparently our domain move isn't going as smoothly as I'd hope. Blah. So the site is still down and probably may still be for the weekend. I know that there is a coupon in the newsletter for Fri with a 10% discount but since the site will most likely still be down we have decided to move it to Tuesday the 26th.

In the meantime, thought I'd share pics of the bean. Darn sprout is growing up so fast. And yes she does look like a boy without some kind of bow on her head.

WEBSITE Temporarily Down

Sorry friends! Going through some tech difficulties over here on the farm. Thank you for your patience whilst I try to work this out. >_<

Oliver and his dinosaur!

Hi there peoples, Farmer Emma here with another Thursday Throwback! Ok so you know the drill, Thursday Throwback is where we pull out an older TGF stamp and show it some love!

My little Man turns 2 next month and so while I was going through my massive amount of TGF stamps I came across Oliver with his Dinosaurs, from the Oliver & Amelia Happy Day set! How cute is he!!!! I haven't used this stamp for such a long time, so I decided to give him a little bit of Love! I actually wiped off the two dinosaurs that are at Olivers feet, as I thought they took up too much room for what I had in mind for this card! Of course my little man is a redhead so of course I had to color his hair in red!

It is Easter school holidays here and my kids have been off school for nearly two weeks now and I have to admit that they have done more crafting than me....hehe! As much as I love having them home, I can't wait for them to go back so that I can have a little ME time...hehe!

Hope you are inspired to get some of your Older TGF stamps out and show them some love!

Wishing everyone a Very Happy Easter and I hope that the Easter bunny is nice to all of you!

See you back here next week for the start of our May Previews, can you believe that it is almost May already!

Designer Spotlight with Farmer Buttercup

Hello Everyone!

Farmer Buttercup here! I work as a handmade sign artist during the day, and a theatre and performance artist at night! Voice Over work, artistically directing, writing & acting are a few of the jobs I am so grateful to have! I love creating in all mediums with all kinds of people! :)

I remember when I first saw an image of a Greeting Farm stamp. It was in a craft magazine at the bookstore. Someone had made an adorable card with the Anya "Rain, Snow, Shine" collection. I was immediately in love with the cute simplicity of the Anyas! I ran home, (this was about a year ago), found The Greeting Farm's website, and spent way too much money!!! :) Since then, I have looked forward to the little white bubble wrapped envelopes in the mail as often as possible! :)

One of the reasons I enjoy working and creating cards with TGF SO MUCH, is because there are so many characters that can represent ANYone you might make a card for! There are boys, girls, teenagers, fathers, grandparents, funky friends, sassy girls-they're ALL here! I love the range from the sweet Anyas to the funky Creepers to the sassy Cheeky collection! They are so lovable and just make me smile! If I had to pick a favorite, I would say it's a tie between The Cheeky Collection, Sweet & Toxic and Syren!

Now, I'm going to share with you one of my FIRST TGF CARDS EVER! Please keep in mind this was BEFORE I knew how to color, before I ever even heard about Copics, it was my first attempt at this card making business I have since learned to love!

Thank You so much for stopping by! I hope you enjoy The Greeting Farm's images as much as I do, and that what you create puts a smile on not only your face, but someone else's as well! :)

Have a Beautiful Week!!!

Love,

Proud-to-be-a-Farmer, Buttercup :) xoxo

Thursday Throwback at the Farm

... The Greeting Farm that is... :-).
Today it's Thursday Throwback, a day when we blog about an oldie but a goodie :-).

{{{PLEASE SCROLL DOWN For info on TGF's SPONSORSHIP of the PLAYDATE CAFE Challenge-we are collaborating with them and are VERY excited about it!  Thanks}}}

And when I started browsing through my papers, I just couldn't resist the jazz theme paper and that's the reason I chose the lovely Friday girl from the Creepin crew. I just love her!!!

So this card is sort of a fusion between the old and the new in music... I'm almost imagining Friday as Scrary Spice from the Spice girls... :-).

I also had an idea of tearing the papers up in order to create a fun frame. And since I couldn't bring myself to messing too much with the jazz paper (from Graphic 45 - Curtain Call), I decided on highlighting that instead with a notes and corrugated paper frame.

I also put in a ton of roses, just to try the technique out. And it was fun. I'd also recommend you to use a glue gun to fasten them, because boy, do they stick!!!

And here they are at the downer part of the card:

All the best to you.
And please do try this technique out. It's really fun, and interesting above all :-).

Here's a tutorial on how you can do this...

TGF has a PLAYDATE...

...with THE PLAYDATE CAFE!

We are collaborating with our friends over at the Playdate Cafe Challenge today and are very excited about it!
Come Play at The Play Date Cafe
What's MORE?  TGF is giving away a $25 Gift Certificate to ONE lucky winner over there so be sure to check the PDCC out and PLAY ALONG!

I'm totally tickled and excited to be the featured Guest Designer over there today too-in fact, I'm giddy!  Here is the WONDERFUL Color story that we are playing with today over at the Playdate Cafe:

..and here's my card:

Even better?  Look who ELSE played along today:

Emma

Top Crop Tuesday with our WONDERFUL Guest-Lisa!

Hello fellow Friends and Fans of The Greeting Farm! I’m having such a blast being Guest Designer for April! They’re going to have to pry my fingers away from the stamps and computer when the month ends!

I have the privilege today of taking a turn at choosing some cards to feature for Top Crop Tuesday, so I took a stroll through the cards posted in the TGF Gallery over the past couple of weeks. What a delight, and what a whole lot of inspiration! You folks are rocking the Farm!

I could make this post pages long with all the cool stuff I saw, but I’m told I have to narrow it down to just a few… so here they are!

I think I’m partial to the Cheeky Cherry Collection because I wanted to choose nearly every one I saw! Here’s one that caught my eye from Jodi Stanisch aka mommy24. I love polka dots and I LOVE the way Jodi colored Cheeky Beach’s hair. Isn’t this fab?

And I absolutely love this card by Lisa aka moonpie creations. Rain is one of my favorite things, so I was naturally drawn to Miss Anya Rain...plus I love the background and banner Lisa created. This card sings to me!

Did I mention I'm especially fond of Cheekys? Check out this wonderful card created byMM Designs featuring Cheeky Cherry Pie. MM Designs has a gorgeous gallery. I encourage you to take a tour for yourself because this is just one of many of her cards I would have featured today.

Next, check out this very creative card created by Jessica Marin aka myscrapgardenfeaturing the rabbit from the Wonderland collection and Anya Alice from a special edition set that is no longer available. It's so clever, don't you think?

Next up is a FIN-tastic card created by Tracey Feeger aka booyagirl. She did afabulous job of coloring up the new Creeper Crew Syren and creating the look of a fantasy underwater scene.

Last, but certainly not least, I picked one of MANY amazing cards created by Rimna. This one features Oliver from the Oliver & Amelia Just for You stamp set. I'm tellin' you, you've got to visit Rimna's gallery! I seriously wanted to include every single one of her cards in today's post.

Well, like I said, I could go on and on, but that will have to do for today. I encourage you to stroll through the Gallery every now and then... it's a fabulous place for those of us who LOVE all things TGF!

Have a great day!

Designer Spotlight with Farmer Tanya

Hi everyone, it's Farmer Tanya here for another Designer Spotlight where you get to know a little bit more about each of the TGF Farmers.
My name is Tanya and I live in the city of Perth in Western Australia with my husband and our two beautiful, fun-loving little boys. I started papercrafting in 2005 and in the past three years I have become very passionate about card making and scrapbooking and usually do something scrap-related every day! I love layering, 3 dimensional and stitching, and you will find at least one of these on each project that I create. I love bold brights, but I also dabble in vintage and pretty soft colours, it all depends on my mood and inspiration. In my "spare" time I enjoy photography, travelling, reading and spending time with my family.

I absolutely ADORE The Greeting Farm stamps so when I was invited to be on the design team, I jumped at the chance!  Who can resist the CUTEST ever stamps?  The one thing I absolutely love about stamping is using my copics and making all the characters come to life!  You'll find that I also love to cut out my stamped images and make them dimensional on my cards.  My faves of the bunch would have to be the Cheeky girls!!  I just think they are so gorgeous and sassy and to be honest, my fave stamp changes each time a new Cheeky is released - I guess I love them all!

And here is a new card I have created using Harlow from the new Creepin' Creeper Crew Collection!

Thursday Throwback with Cheeky Rockabilly!

Happy Throwback Thursday Everyone!!!

As The Greeting Farm image collection is growing, and fabulous newbies are created, it's fun to take a look back, bust out the older stamps and play! I have to say, I have always LOVED the CHEEKY collection! And "Cheeky Rockabilly" is just so fun and flirty! With her sassy wink, polka dotted outfit, and classic hairdo, she is super fun to color!

You may check out this rubber stamp and purchase if you like, here.

Thank You for sharing this Throwback Thursday with me! Happy Farming!

Love,

Farmer Buttercup :) xo

~xoxo...Jess :)

Hey there TGF Fans, Farmer Emma here for the first ever Designer Spotlight! So I thought why not tell you all a little bit about myself.......

Ok so here goes...Hi my name is Emma and I live in Australia with my Wonderful Husband and 5 kids, aging from 11yrs to 22 months.  I first got into crafting through Scrapbooking when my daughter was 2, so that was nearly 8 years ago....WOW where does the time go...hehe! And recently have discovered the wonderful world of Cards, Copics and of course The Greeting Farm, all of which just go hand in hand.

The first time I saw a Greeting Farm image was on someones blog and I remember being completely wowed, and of course I fell in love and knew I needed to find out more about how I could get my hands on these stamps. So within a few days I had put an order in. I still remember the first stamp I got, it was Princess Anya. I remember seeing all the Gorgeous creations that the DT girls were creating and thinking that I could never be THAT good, but I hoped that one day I would, and so I set my goals on one day being on 'The Greeting Farm' DT and well look at me know...Dreams do come true! Whooo Hoooo!!!!! (Must admit that I never actually thought this would happen...hehe!)

So do you want to know what my all time favourite TGF Stamp is.....Well as hard as it is to pick from all the AMAZING Stamps that there are...hehe! it has to be any one of the Creepers, OMGosh they are just GORGEOUS, I think it has something to do with their Attitude and Spunk. I do tend to like the girls more than the boys, but with these guys they are all FABULOUS! I just love coloring these guys!

My card below features one of the newest Creepers, 'Tyler',

So I hope you have had fun getting to know me a little bit more. I would love to know what your favourite TGF Stamps are!
