Our Last Digi Giveaway

Greetings friends! I hope everyone is doing fabulously. I thought this past weekend was such a beautiful weekend, mostly do to the sunshiney weather we had and also because it was Mothers Day! So I hope all you moms had a blast! Let's hope this week is equally beautiful.

Today I wanted to show you another Fleur Anya card that I did using some of those super awesome washi tape! We are out of stock on several of them so I will do my best to get them in as soon as possible plus some new ones! And if you've been doing things with your fabulous tape, I WANT TO SEE! So email them to me and I'll post them up!

Next to being a rubber warehouse, my apartment appears to be doubling as a paper store. LOL. I was going through papers yesterday, going through tons of xmas papers and papers that I didn't even know I had and it's really getting out of control. I also have a giant box of scraps which I should be going through before cutting up new papers as well. So I really want to know how you guys organize your paper supply!

I currently have mine in those transparent 12x12 boxes that you get at Michaels and I've been looking online but not getting much inspiration. I thought about organizing the paper by color but it's hard when the DP is double-sided. Right now I have been able to somewhat separate the holiday paper from the regular paper but that's as far as I've gotten.

Since we didn't announce last week's digi winners, I'll do so today. :) So here are the ladies that won:

This week is going to be our last Weekly Digi Giveaway as I try to think up of a new weekly theme. Because this is our last one, I will be drawing out 10 names from this week's comments. And because this is our last, I thought I'd make it extra special. I know many of you are wondering why you haven't been seeing any more Twinkle Tots... so here's my solution...
TT - Violette

So good luck! And no worries, I will put her in the store later too so everyone can get her as well if they don't win this week. Have a fabulous rest of the day! Keep on creating!

Today's question is: What is your paper storage/organization solution?

She is sooooo cute! I think she would be a great additon to the family. Lovely! My storage for my papers?.......Right now I have my PTI in sheet protectors with the paper's name on it put in a Cropper Hopper paper cubbie. It works, but I would love something a little more workable...lol Never completely happy...heehee

Cuteness!! My paper storage...hmmm...I really don't have one. They are everywhere. I have a small room so can't do much cuz have to have Max's stuff first. But I do keep them in a 3 drawer plastic shelf from walmart, unsorted of course.

RiNNE said...

Right now, the scraps are in random boxes (also in disarray). But I have the un-cut new ones into categories: flower-y, cutes-y, graphic, artsy, vintage/ shabby-chic, overlays, Christmas-y, etc. If they're double-sided, I pick a favorite side. Then I store them into this standing bin I bought from a scrapbooking store.

Such a cute card. Love the composition & your photo skills are making me drool! *must get phototent*

She is so gorgeous!!! My paper storage solutions, scraps are in a big box (which I do forget about) so it is great when a challenge comes along and says use your scraps lol! I have some MDF shelves for different companies and also some files with colour groups, have a great week, take careX:)

Another fabuloius card, Marie! Love it!
I love this line! I guess I'll have to grab her when she's available because I am never one of the lucky one to win.

I have most of my papers in those Sterilite 12x12 clear view drawers.

Awwwwww she is the cutest!!! Love those lips and eyes!!!
I use lots of differenty cropper hopper products, for my 12 x12 papers, 6x6 papers, stamps etc I have one for everything heheh.

eva said...

my paper storage solution is to give all my scraps to my kids (they have a special box)so they can make their own creations. then i can buy more paper and i store them in clear drawers kind of just randomly so no real organization.

love your card--so happy and fun looking. cute digi too.

Fabulous card and gorgeous image!!

Storage?? ...I would say I dont really have one...because I have a small room and have to squeeze in everything in it :) But I do try to keep everything in separate cardboard boxes - paper scraps, flowers, stickers, gem stones, buttons, ribbons and so on..

cardcrazy said...

What a cutie!
I store my 12x12 paper by brand in clear bags in a large plastic tote, I try to keep the scraps with the original if I can. I keep all my 6x6 pads in a plastic shoe box and the scraps in another clear bag labeled with the name. Finally, yes I am anal about my paper, I keep all my cardstock in a file box with matching folders for the scraps! When I get too many scraps they go to the kids for crafty projects. :D

Julye said...

hiya cute image. I have a small A4 envelope file which I keep next to my desk with scraps in and when I want paper for a card etc that is the first place I look, I try to use up my scraps before cutting into another pretty paper. My whole sheets I keep in collapsable files itemised by colour, using the base colour be they flowery patterned or plain. I have different files for 12x12 and A4. A5 and 6x6 I keep in a draw next to my desk stacked in their pads, that way I don't buy more than I can store and I sort of know what small papers I have. I also keep my glitter paper there too. In another drawer I have folied and pearlised card for matting and layering, I suppose I'm a bit lazy as with it being next to my desk I tend to use the scraps and smaller pieces rather than moving to get the larger paper from the files, wasting less crafting time.

Shaela said...

what a doll!! I can totally use this for slumber party invitations, haha.

I keep my paper in clear 13x13 resealeable poly bags. I have them separated by paper line and then grouped by manufacturer. They're all in a big clear sterilite tub and I flip through the bags like it's a giant roladex, haha. I have sorted my paper several ways over the years, but this is what works best for me now with the way I create.

Good luck finding what works for you!

Maria Therese said...

I have filefolder containers and then I also have a little 13x13" box in my scrapdesk with the just bought paper and my scraps

L said...

I currently organize cardstock by color
and DP by designer. It's not working that great for me since I have soooooo much paper... But can you really have too much paper???

pixie sparkle said...

like her pout hehe... My A4 papers are kept in A4 plastic hard case box sort out by colours. 12X12 papers are in 12X12 plastic folders. I keep my scraps in the A4plastic box too.

Rosie said...

She is soooo adorable!! Right now I keep all my pads in clear plastic organizers. All my loose sheets are also in plastic organizers by color. I use a hanging file system for my scraps (one for solids, one for patterned paper) and it's sorted by color. I used to store my paper horizontally in a wire cube system, but felt it took up too much room. Filing the paper vertically in plastic organizers takes up less space. Good luck! And I hope you share pics of what you find that works for you cause I'm always looking for storage ideas!

ChickieChirps said...

She is so cute! Hhmm... I dont have a good solution for paper right now... At the moment it is stored in the fitted clear plastic bags I buy it in, but I can't really see what I have very well. I do sort my scraps into larger and smaller sizes and put them in different bags. I would be interested in seeing what other people do.

She is cute! Right, I have some in an accordian file - those are my scraps (arranged by colour - ish) - and the rest are in tubs - card in one and papers in the other. And 12x12 in a PM paperkeeper thingy! But then I dont have heaps of paper or owt!

Rx
PS If your papers are causing you too much hassle and stres....then I will do you a REALLY BIG FAVOUR - you can send them all to me! See how helpful I can be!

Violette is adorable! So happy to see a Twinkle Tot again! I, too, have my papers in 12" clear boxes, according to color. If it's a two sided, I file according to the side I like best....

Hoping to play with my washi tape...hoarding it for now!

She is such a cutie - I would love to have her in my stash!! I know what you mean about paper - I have recently sorted mine into colours - well all the plain papers anyway. I have the 12 x 12 papers in a bigger box on their own and I have draws full of scrap bits which I try and use (if and when I remember!!) Hope you find a happy solution soon.

She's lovely! I keep most of my paper in 12x12 really useful boxes with files in them so they are organized by colour. I keep 6x6 pads and A4 pads in cardboard magazine folders on my book shelf. My scraps are mainly in a drawer but I really want to organize them better, maybe in clear plastic folders by colour? Thanks for the chance to win :)

As far as paper storage? I was lucky enough to be at an AC Moore store when they were redoing the scrapbook section and I bought the racks that they used in the store! I have them sorted by collection/mfr.
Thanks for the chance at winning!

Very Cute Card again Marie... =) I just love seeing your cards! And the new Twinkle Tot is absolutely gorgeous!
And I won last weeks digi... So So Cool! =)
Now as for my paper sorting, I would have to say I'm only somewhat organized with my DP's, because some space is limited. I use the 12x12 clear drawers from Walmart. I have 2 of them stacked up, and I sort them only by Christmas, Solids, and oh and one drawer for other holiday themes. The rest are just prints, and fill the remaining drawers.
As for scraps, I think I'm a little more organized with that, simply because I always head to the scraps drawers first.

I use 4 of those clear drawer sized for smaller paper, an 8.5 x 11 size paper fits in them perfectly. They are stacked, and the front of the drawer each has a colored circle so all scraps in that color family go in those drawers. It makes finding what I'm looking for much easier.

Have a Great Day!
Hugs
Lynda

Great Digi!!

I keep my papers in a drawer upright in suspension files....normally they are filed by how 'new' they are because I can never bear to put the ones I've just bought away lol!! Silly I know. Of course this means I forget the old ones or can never find what I'm after!! Xx

Sonya said...

OMG This digi is a real cutie. I so hope I'm one of the lucky ones this week!

Paper storage is a real problem for me. I start organizing buy more and end up unorganized again. I use to organize according to DP company but that didnt' work. I would love to hear some of the ideas you get in response to this one! Currently I have papers organized according to what they are for Holidays are seperate, then Ladies, Men, Babies, Kids, Teens Etc. Plain Papers are all kept seperately according to colors. I have rows and rows or trays that I store them in for easy access.

Rachet said...

Aww she's adorable!!
I have seperated all my papers into plain & patterned, then into colours and put them into folders! So all the reds in one pocket, blues in another etc etc. And then of course I've got a seperate folder for Christmas papers! Hehe x

KymKreates said...

What a sweetheart! I have a shelving unit with about 24 slots and that is where I store most of my paper by color. I also have a bin with scraps in it and a drawer with my favorites or special paper in it!!!

I bought a tower with drawers, made especially for scrapbooking papers... The drawers are 13x13 so my papers are fully protected... They're all sorted by colors, which makes it easy for me to choose from. I have a blue drawer, a pink drawer, a green one and so on...

Violette is absolutely BEAUTIFUL!!!!! I want her so bad!!! I was waiting for a new Twinkle tot and I'm really excited about her!

Tammy said...

She is just adorable... My paper storage solution is my great find...Target closed and I went to the liquidation sale. I purchased the paper organizer that they used for all the DP's that they displayed and only paid $20 for it. Awesome steal of a deal.

Sue D said...

She is very cute! I store my DP in a 12x12 plastic drawer cart by color. The scraps are in there too. My double sided DP is kept in plastic sleeves or bags by manufacturer and all kept in a plastic container.

Eeeek!! I am so excited to win something, especially since my DD started playing the recorder. :D Thank you Farm for making my day!
Okay, I just love that Sassafrass dp you used, the colors of that paper are so saturated and happy and that tape is sooo awesome!
I was at M's thinking about paper storage. I have 2 12x12 towers (over 5' high) and yet my supply has spilled over everywhere. I don't even know what to do with my scraps! So now I'm going to scroll thru the comments and find out what I need to cure me. ;)

Okay, so I spent my weekend doing this same thing! I actually have a whole bag of papers that I am gonna give to my friends and to the kids.

I have these bins that fit the papers perfect standing up (hubby just put wheels on the bottom of the bins too). I separated my paper into coordinating sheets and put them in large 12X12 ziplock bags. Then in the other bin I have my 12X12 packs in that.

I also have some in those 12X12 clear bins. The small 4X6 card stacks I store in my square containers that lock on top of each other.

I will post pics on my blog later today after school. http://stampspaperandink.blogspot.com/

Mary said...

She's adorable!!! My paper storage is 3 drawer Sterilite containers that I have under my desk. (I have a very small workspace). I also have 2 containers with covers that hold 12x12 papers (filled) that I can take with me when I go crafting outside of my home. Of course my biggest problem with it is that they are unsorted and I have to hunt whenever I want a specific piece.

Jessica said...

what a cutie!!! Great digi! My plain cardstock is sorted by color in cubes with shelves, but I ran out of room for printed paper! It's just sitting in two huge piles right now waiting to be sorted and figured out! I have no idea what I'm going to do with it. My scraps are all sorted out in a basket for each color and one big one for printed scraps. My dad altered a tall bookshelf, cut it in half, put it back together and made it have enough shelves so there's a spot for each basket! It works so perfectly and matches all the other shelves in the room, and fits the small spot where I needed it to go! Love it, but just need to figure out my patterned paper storage now!

Janna said...

Hi Marie,

Long Time no talk! Hope all is well. I actually seperate my paper into cardstock and designer paper. Then those two groups I seperate by color. I use old priority mail boxes that I have received in the mail. The ones that are 13 X 15. I cut off the tops and then I label the sides. The fit perfectly in my closet and I can see everything I have. Hope that helps!

Love Janna

Nancy said...

She is adorable!! Love it!! I used the Cropper Hopper storage bins, and I organize my paper by manufacturer. I even have a full one for just Basic Grey and My Mind's Eye. By doing this, I can put my hands on it quickly. Every company kind of has its own "vibe", so to speak. Good luck! My cardstock is arranged in a file cabinet with each color having its own file folder...I keepp the scraps right with it.

JenRaff said...

Violette is adorable -- her face kind of reminds me of my little Collette. So sweet!!!
I keep my papers in storage trays in the closet that stack on top of each other. I keep colored cardstock on the top two trays and then I have a "pink" tray, a "blue" tray, "holidays" tray, "activities" tray such as sports, etc. and then finally a "misc" tray. And then I also have a 12x12 box from Michaels to hold whatever I am working on at the time. I also store paper in there that I haven't put away yet.

Janet said...

I wish I had a paper storage solution. So far, it's just plastic bins with the paper in it. Very unorganized.

Love the digi. She's a doll!

Amy's Stocking Stuffers said...

Storage solution? I wish! ;-)

Right now I use a sort of cedar chest with front-opening doors -- or maybe it's more like a coffee table with storage. But I have to admit, it's a mess!

Karyle said...

She is soooo cute, thank you for the chance to win..... My paper storage used to be horrible, it was all stacked in a bin and I could never find what I was looking for. For Christmas my hubby bought me a scrapbooking desk from Hobby LOBBY. The top has 15 slots for paper, so I have it organized by seasons, collections and I have all my solid cardstock by colors. I love it, but I am starting to run out of room, so I guess I better not by any more paper.....as if....lol.

racinggrandma61 said...

She is simply adorable. TYSVM for the chance to get her. As for my paper storage. My DH got me a scrapping case the lifts up and has different slots for papers....parts of them are in there, the plain paper is in cropper hopper storage cases (yes I have more than 1) and Then a had a few more stashed here and there in my craft room......I admit it I am a paperholic, and a cricutholic, and a digiaholic, and a copicaholic. At least I don't drink, I quit smoking, and I don't do drugs so my crafts are my obsession.

card stock in 2 x 4 drawer units.. once again drawer each and in colours. small scraps of card in tower unit drawers.. once again in colours and labelled. yes Im a bit ocd when it comes to organisation in my craft room lol... (and just to add.... flowers in seperate clear glass jars all lined up on a welsh dresser) LOL... :)

She is so cute, would make a cute image to use on a sleepover invite or layout. I use the plastic storage containers as well. I separate solid cardstock, holiday paper, kid paper, disney paper, floral paper then I try to keep it in color family groups within the container. The stacks I usually just keep together in a box under my desk. I have a separate container for scraps which I pull out first and if I can't find anything then I use a new sheet.

Sheri (a.k.a PaperCrafty) said...

She is ADORABLE!! Mine is store by color. I just file it where I would see me using it if it has more than one dominant color. I find that this finally works. As for scraps, I have a two drawer file cabinet/cart that is next to me and it is also sorted my color.

The new Twinkle Tot is precious...

As for paper storage...mine is chaos! One thing I do is keep my scraps that come from a paper pad, inside the paper pad. That way if I want to use one of those DPs I have to fish through the scraps and use them up first. I try not to buy single sheets anymore. I have so many that are just sitting around and never being used.

Smiles, ladybug!

I have my scraps organized by color in manilla envelopes and put them inside a bucket. My paper organization is sorted by color in hanging file folders and then I just have my patterned paper in the back. All of that is stored in a crate.

April said...

How adorable is Violette!!
For paper, I organize by color for the majority. The exception is that I keep Christmas and bling by itself. Scraps are another story ~ ugh ~ they are mostly by color and thrown into plastic envelopes.

What an adorable image!

I store my cardstock in cropper hoppers (vertical storage) and my patterned paper on paper racks...but I'm about to change that over to cropper hoppers as well, because I find them more convenient and less space-hogging.

Melissa said...

She is adorable!
I store my 8.5x11 paper in folders sorted by color in two of those 2 drawer Sterlite file cabinets. My 12x12 paper is in upright file boxes on my bookshelf. I made them by cutting a triangle shaped wedge out of the 13 x 4(?) square priority mail boxes and then covering the outside with dp so they don't look so ugly. I sort them by theme, and try to group similar colors together within the theme to make it easier to find things. My scraps are in the clear plastic totes that it sounds like you are also using.

Such a cute stamp. I have my plain color paper in a plastic holder with the tab sheets between each color (can be found at Michaels and Joanns), and for the design paper, I have my favorites in another holder, and all the rest are kind of just there. Not too organized.

Kerri said...

Oh my goodness, she is so CUTE!!! I have my cardstock organized in two papertrey units that I found at Staples. My patterned paper is not organized and I keep them in plastic bins like you do. I have been buying the small paper pads lately, and I just keep my scraps in with the rest of the pad so I know what I have.

Storage, it's something I'm always working on, but I have a paper rack from hobby lobby that holds most of my DP and is organized by manufacturer. My plain card stock is in a pretty box from Joann's...so it doesn't look ugly, lol. My paper pads are on a large bookshelf with other stuff. My scraps are in a basket just below my table...if I have some I want to keep together I just put them in a plastic bag first.
You've got a lot of ideas to work with on here, I hope you find something that works for you!

Love the last digi! It's soooocute.

I store my cardstock in 12x12 drawers (3 in a unit) by hues. The my pattern apper is in a 12x12 files/dividers by event/season, then have 1 drawer of all random paper.

With my scraps, I cut the pattern paper into 7 1/2 x 1 1/2 strips, adhere them to 8x8 paper and create quick 8x8 albums for family and friends. The cardstock scraps are usually used as scraps and then embellish. Also, my mom just gives me the picture to go with the pages I have premade and I glam them up for her, It's quick and easy!

Sinihilkka said...

Violette is so pretty! My papers are on their packages and some in one file on my shelf. There aren't so many of them, so it isn't a problem. I don't much use designer paper, I like making my own backgrounds and papers by stamping with Versmark.

Why is Weekly Digi Giveaway water under the bridge? :O This is shoking, I have been so fond of this weekly theme. Could you please rethink ending this?

What an adorable card! :)

My paper storage isn't much different from your own. The 12 x 12 are mostly in clear or colored plastic containers (with handles), the 6 x 6 are in cardboard bins all lined up in a closet. I'm forever looking for new storage ideas! :)

Toni said...

Funny you should ask about storage? I recently changed mine to see how it would work. I find as I shop for DP, I look for certain designers...so it only made sense to store them that way. The only problem is all the miscellaneous sheets or really old ones. So I have those in a "MISC" slot. My hubby converted some kitchen cabinets (from an old mother-in-law apartment we have) into three inch shelving. So I slip them onto the shelves. I could never find the perfect containers that didn't take up a ton of counter or floor space. So far so good.

Tracey said...

oooh fantastic image, so cute :)

My paper storage errr well I have a box with larger coloured paper/card on my desk which was in colour order lol. I have several little boxes on my desk with little pieces of paper/card which are in colour order.

My patterned papers are in various boxes &/or drawers all over the floor. (well if a piece of paper is bigger than an inch I can't throw it away lol).

As I have no room at the moment (gave my room to the kids so they can have the bigger room as play room)so can't have other storage sistem.

Very cute card.

As for paper storage I use the plastic craft envies that they sell at Michaels. They have them in all different sizes so I have several to keep things organized. They are $2 normally but they typically have them on sale for less. I have about a dozen of them to seperate all different themes of paper and scraps. The paper is protected and doesnt bend either so for me its the best bang for the buck

I absolutely LOVE the new TT, she is so cute

Such a cutie!! Right now, I have a bookcase filled with magazine holders which hold all of my cardstock...my cardstock outgrew my desk drawer...YIKES!! I have stored my 12 X 12 paper in a Jetmax cube. So far, the organization is working.

Oh she is so sweet! As for my paper, I am afraid that I am kind of at a loss as to how to keep it under control and organized, too. Right now I have 3 containers and a small drawer that hold my scraps. Big pieces go in a large clear container and then my containers go down in size according to the size of the scrap. I would love to have ideas for storage, too. Maybe after this post is closed you can give us a summary of ideas that sound feasible. Thanks.

What a adorable image!!! But hey they all are adorable.
My paper storage is in 2 longaberger laundry baskets!!! So if you know how big those are you know I have lots of papers lol Which need to be used instead of hoarded lol Hugs

OMG, that is amazingly cute!

I literally just got home from buying MORE paper storage :) I use plastic bins so I can see inside. I have multiple bins and they are sorted by theme and color! It makes it sooo much easier when I have something in mind.

OH! YAY! That little flute digi is ADORABLE too!!! :) Thanx so much... I just sent you an email!!! As far as storage, I do the vertical cropper hopper paper organizers for whole sheets, then attached large envelopes to the dividers for the scraps for each of the color families. THEN I have hanging ENVELOPES that separate my patterned paper via holiday, floral AND double sided. I don't think there IS a such thing as "at a glance" when it comes to going through your paper stash. What do interior designers do to organize wall paper I wonder????

She is adorable!! I don't have a storage system!!

This stamp is so cute. I organize my paper in paper storage boxes - clear. That way i can see what is in there before I pick it up off the shelf.

Ahhh, so cute! I have two hanging folder carts that fit 12x12 size. I store my 12x12 paper and designer c/s in those. I have a two drawer file cabinet that I use for all my 8.5x11 c/s. I have them in hanging folders. Smaller one, I have them separated by the SU color families, each color in their own manila folder (3 colors per hanging folder.) Larger is less organized, since I have less colors and more designer paper, but they are just in there and I have to sort through them to find what I want.

She's adorable! I have NO paper storage solution. LOL Currently they are in 12x12 magazine holders. I'd love to get some lovely storage. Maybe I'll get some ideas from other comments.

LOVE your card! i'm going to need to get my hands on some of that tape next time we get together. ;)

Your card is so much fun!!! I love that Sassafras Lass paper. It goes so well with that image.

Your new TT is adorable. Pillow Fight!!!

Anyway, I have one of those drawer sets on wheels. I spearate my DP by manufacturer--DCWV has all one drawer plus I have another of my faves seperated then the rest in another drawer. I like it this way because a lot of times you can use paper from one company but different lines on one project. When I get in an organizing mood again, I'm going to seperate the pile of all others into 2 gal zip locks by company. This really works for me.

Blessings,
Christine

She's sooo cute! My storage is very old school - loose 12x12xs in a couple of large wine boxes and the paper pads in another cardboard box. Scraps and smaller pages go into plastic containers.

What a little cutie - I would so love to win her!
Currently I have my 12x12s in a little wooden bookshelf that my DH added extra shelves to. My A4s are in a 4 drawer plastic container, and my scraps are in shoeboxes!

I have tried several different "containers" but find that if my paper isn't displayed, then I don't use it! My solution...stacking wire shoe racks (available at Walmart). I overlap the paper with about 1/2 inch showing so that I can see all that I have. I have stacked the racks inside the closet so the room always looks tidy.

I love her eyes. They are so expressive.
I would not ask me about the paper storage. I sort my color and manufacturer.

Mine probably isn't so much a storage solution but just a solution. For my cards I try to buy the layers pack or other small sized paper like 6x6 or 8x8. I have a few pads at at time and just stack them on my desk. Then after I'm finished with a card, anything smaller than a 3" square gets recycled and the larger pieces get passed down to my daughters. I found that I hardly ever used my scraps and I didn't want to keep them. Otherwise, I have some 12x12 paper that I keep upright on my desk in a storage box from the craft store. However, if I have scraps that are larger than 6x6 then I keep those.

She's a cutie!! I use the same storage boxes and not very organized either. I'll be looking over all the comments for advice too! ;)

GOSH she's cute!

Storage has always been a priority for me even though I've been a gypsy scrapper in my own home for about 10 years!! Just this month I decided enough is enough so my paper stackers and 12X12 clear plastic drawer units that have been my saving grace have been moved into an Ikea Expedit shelf which can fit 12X12 scrapbook albums with room to spare!!! They are awesome and i got them on sale for 40% off! Ive also got some glass jars for my embellies and have unmounted all of my wooden stamps and have them stored in CD cases. I am so happy that I can now SEE everything I have in my stash and my tools are handy on my peg board and custom cut shelves (free from the neighbour's trash - SCORE!) .

I've got three videos on my blog from my recent transition - I hope someone can use some of my pretty economical, yet functional ideas :)
