Yay for International ink! Woot woot! Cute card, Marie! Love how bright the colors are!
I like to take photos of my card during the daytime. Natural light is my favorite.
Way to go, everyone! Good luck!
Awesome card! Great shot too!
Great card!!! What camera did you get? The photo looks flawless!
Your card is darling! Photoshop is my lifesaver!
Hooray for all the teams!!
I agree with Rinne- natural light is best!
Adjust the contrast and levels in post processing. Makes a HUGE difference.
Natural daylight is the best way to shoot, don't use a flash as it washes out the colours too much.
Love your card.... we are through... doing the happy dance...wohooooo - go Dream Team!
Congrats everyone!
I use photoshop a lot because the room I am in is shaded so I either have to use flash or use my tripod to get an ok shot and then edit it to look like it should in photoshop!
Congrats to all the teams that made it through! I see that my faves did! Way to go!
Love your card and that's a great shot!
Natural light is the best; a macro feature is a must!
congrats to those teams making it through!! :D
mm... good lighting... If using a flash bounce/ diffuse it!
Best tip - know how to use your camera - reading the manual/ doing a course!! :D
xxx
congrats to all taking part you have made some really stunning creations.
I think the photo you have taken looks great i am sorry i am rubbish with photos so i have had to start scanning most of my projects now maybe i should invest in a new camera sorry i have not been much help xx
So glad we made it!! Beautifull cards and projects..only the date for the voting isn't correct!
It said 18 april but we've been there hihi! x Marley
Outside during the day is best. If it is gloomy hopefully you have a very bright bathroom; turn on all the lights close the door and hopefully this works. My bathroom is painted tile red with black and silver accents so this does not work for me but does well for others. Photoshop can work wonders but it does help to start with your best possible picture. However your photo looks pretty good from here. If it is flat I just scan it to avoid all the hassle!
Congratulations to all those finalists. You've been doing AWESOME Work. I can't wait to see who the winners will be. This is so suspenseful. LOL
Traci, your examples are Fantastic. I Love those bookmarks!
Taking a good photo requires 3 main things Marie... LOL A Good Camera, A Steady Hand, and the right Lighting! As if you didn't know that already!
It looks like you took a great picture of that card! Or is it just the card that I am amazed by? Okay, how about I LOVE your card, and you took a great picture of it! LOL
Hugs
Lynda
I have an OTT lite and that helps on days where I don't have good natural lighting.
Congrats to all the teams!!!
Marie, LOVE the card, the red layer going off the sides looks really cool :0)
Congrats to the semi finalists!
Love love love the card Marie, it's been a while since we've seen one of your awesome creations. :D Love the ribbon detail!! Your camera is soo purdy - love the flawless pic. I haven't used PS, but Picasa really helps me with cropping. And I started taking pics with a black background, it reduces shadows and seems to bring out the card colors more for some reason.
Love your card and there is no background! How did you do that?
I have a makeshift system in my craft room to take pics. A couple of photo bulbs to bring out the right colors, macro setting on my camera and then on to PSE to fine tune.
Way to go Teams!!
Your picture is great but definitely Photoshop is a lifesaver :)
Find a good spot for taking them and stick with it. Experiment when you aren't on a deadline.
What cameras does everyone use is what I would like to know!
Yay us! Congrats everyone else that made it, too!!
When photographing pets, try not to use the flash at all -- it always results in monster eyes!
oh the final countdown...your card is so cute..I love the red and yellow scheme so vibrant...and the way you folded the paper for texture..love it.
Congrats to everyone moving on. Most people say to take a picture in the day
She is adorable Marie....I love the color combo and I think I may just have to give that a try. :0) I agree that natural light does wonders, but I also like to use my tripod lately. You just don't realize what the lack of just the littlest movement can do. Have a great day, Lisa G
Oooh how exciting! I can't wait to see what everyone comes up with!
I'm utterly obsessed with the macro feature on my camera (which is my phone, incidently!), and natural light definitely! I prefer to see nice backgrounds too, either nice and clean like yours or with a matching background. Nothing too distracting!
Congrats to the remaing teams! Good luck :)
What a sweet card, Marie! I like using my Ott-Lite for pic taking, and then snazz it up in Picasa!
Hugs!, margie
Oh love this card Marie, its so pretty!
I would say lighting is imortant when taking pics
love tasha xx
My photo tip? Give your kids the camera (but not if it is TOO expensive). Those adults that are reluctant to be in pictures can't resist a little cutie asking for a picture! And it is interesting to get their point of view of life.
Awe that card you made is very cute. I have not gotten that stamp yet but do want it. I did get Shooter!!!
Ya I agree Natural light is great!
Hugs, Heidi Brawley
Congrats to the teams going through - everyone's work has been awesome! Natural light is obviously best but sometimes you need some luck too.
super cute card, congrats to the finalists!! My tip for good photos (and I'm no expert) is good lighting. I usually go outside for the best lighting but not always.
Way to go everyone!
Great card - and love the sample too!
Photos - I take mine in the kitchen with the overhead light on and the under cupboard lights that shine onto the work surface - not perfect but seems to do the job ok
Also use macro!
Rx
Just great two of my favorite crafters are in the final round & of course on different teams! UGH!!! Beth aka BR-T
Daylight is the best and get rid of any clutter that may sneak into you picture as a distraction. Beth
Congrats to all the teams that made it through to the finals. What a fun final battle.
Marie I love your card and the coloring.
Great samples...all so cute and vibrant!
Natural light is nice for photos, but not direct light. Always have the camera on macro and use some simple props like a scattering of buttons - makes the photo a bit more interesting!
I just make sure that I've got good natural light. That helps me to try and capture color that's more true to life.
Sounds like a fun challenge. Congrats to all the contenders. I know that you'll all rock this one out. Goood luck! Marie... love your card. Too stinkin cute.
Cute card!
Soft daylight is the best. Not bright sun and not too cloudy. And near a windows. And I love my psp when the weather isn't cooperating. ;)
