After looking at Lynda's amazing creation, I think I will be making a gingerbread house this year. Not sure if I should get the kit or do the old fashion graham cracker way. Has anyone tried those kits? My graham cracker house always caves in midway... I don't know why... I'm sure it's not the pound of frosting that I stack on the roof. Or could that be it? Anyway, have a fabulous mid week!
Today's question is: If you lived in a gingerbread house, what would it mostly consist of (besides gingerbread)?
Mine would have lots of crunchy toffee and mint. Furniture would be made out of stacks of tiramisu and red velvet carpeting. Wood floors would be of delicious wafers. Mmmmmmm...... and I would have a garden of sushi rolls. Yes, random but delicious.

a sushi roll garden? that would be yummy and so neat to look at. I would probably have a lot of chocolate, and gummy plants, and furniture made of that hard candy (the candy sticks).
Mint and chocolate is always good, and peanut butter m&m's (you can only get them in specialty shops here in OZ and i LOVE them) oh, and snickers bars. This house would not last long :)
There would be lots and lots of chocolate!!!

It would have rubber stamp floors,PP walls,chip board windows and doors,prima flowers on the outside!!

I always set out with the intention of making a gingerbread house and then fail completely to get round to it. One year!

Mine would have lots and lots of Andi's Candies, My furniture would be made out of Reeses Peanut Butter cups, and I'd have a whole room made of Marzipan candies. Ohhhhhh I need some Marzipan! LOL

My roof would be layered with chocolate frosting, the floor would be hot tamales we would have jaw breakers to sit on (and help with our core workouts) our rugs woud be little cut outs of fruit rollups our back yard would be a mixture of Mike and Ikes.... MMMM I want some candy now
Mine would have walls covered in chocolate mints, the floors would be covered in sour patch kids, the furniture would be made of gumdrops & chocolate covered cherries.....YUM!

Yummy -- I never met a candy I didn't like so I would go with everything!
I think I would have anything with caramel in it - and I love anything that puts mint and chocolate together.
I realy dislike those traditional jube-jube candies, so I would go for something more extravagant.

Maybe you can make a little gingerbread house... The teachers at school use a little milk carton so the kids can pile the frosting on! :) I think I would have dark chocolate furniture, pecan floors and toffee walls. Yum!

Hmmm, cheese? For those times when I don't want anything more sweet? Cheese is a bigger vice for me than chocolate!

I would have to say chocolate and toffee but it probably wouldn't last long and I would be a big balloon. But it is a great idea! I can just smell the aroma in the house now.

Let's see, outside there would be a hot cocoa pond & waterfall, peppermint bark sidewalks & drive, and a coconut lawn. Inside, the furniture would be 3 Musketeers, Snickers, chocolate-covered grahams and chocolate-covered oreos. Oooo, and I would have to have red velvet carpet too! The beds would be marshmallows with pink fondant comforters, and rock candy chandeliers would hang from the ceilings! And there'd be a champagne-filled whirlpool tub! :-)
Definitely chocolate doors, Necco wafer roof, peppermint windows and lots of M&M's.

Fantastic cards and projects!! I really dislike Gingerbread (I make it a lot because my DD and DH love it and I am not tempted at all to eat any!!) so I think I'll go with Pumpkin bread for my house and lots of Hershey's Candy Cane Kisses - I am addicted to those things right now!! Ooh, and lots of milk chocolate covered nuts!! :-)Traci

Hmmm no idea really. Ok well how about skittles for flowers, wafer cookies for the roof, candy canes and anything with peanit butter. Oh and Kit Kats for the fence.

Oh my word...Just thinking of what MY house would be made of is making me drool. I would have to have walls of Heath bars, Snickers furniture with that sweet and sour roll junk my kids buy at the liquor store I DEVOUR as drapes and towels and maybe even blankets. Of course there would be a HUGE chocolate fountain in my front yard and a hot cocoa pool. There would be gummies, mint chocolates...there would most definitely be my all time fave...Almond Roca and cherry trees. I guess I would just live like Willy Wonka...lol. I love ANYTHING sweets...mostly chocolate. Ok...now I'm drooling! Let me go have a Hershey's kiss...LMBO!
Mmmmmm - jellie sweets and smarties to decorate it...and a flake for the chimney....after eights for the fence I think. Windows....not sure about ---oh could glue it together with peanut butter - or jam! Ok now I am really hungry!
Cadbury milk chocolate on the walls... after dinner mint floor tiles... marshmellow sofas... Crunchie bar bench tops... and jersey caramel yard fences.... I could go on.....
