Aren't they just the cuuuutest? Can't wait to see what the rest of you cook up with the digis! I'm very happy that many of you like yesterday's fairy. =) If only I can magically turn everything instantly into rubber! But we have such a full schedule ahead of us that unfortunately some images will have to bite the bullet and be digitized first. With that being said, here is the next installment of the fairies. They do look a little wicked don't they? haha.

Winter Fairy

This one particularly reminds me of a mermaid, I think because of her skirt and I guess because I did her in blue. I'll show you Spring tomorrow. And then Summer. Have a great day!

Today's question is: Who's your favorite fictional hero from a book?

One name, and one name stands alone... James Alexander Malcolm MacKenzie Fraser (aka Jamie)!!!!!! If you know who I'm talking about, you know why Edward's glitter has no power over me. Haha! Now I will run and dodge the flying utensils from Twi-fans.

Oh and found this most amazing and very true quote:

"Friendship is born at that moment when one person says to another:
"What! You too? I thought I was the only one."— C.S. Lewis

I love the inspiration. I wish I had more hours in the day and needed less sleep so I could craft! Loving your fairies too. My fav fictional hero is... Super Grover. He tries so hard, and has such Grand Intentions, and never gives up no matter how many times he messes up!

Angie said...

oops, grover's not really a book hero. Well, there are some books made with him! I'll stick with Grover.

My fave character is Eliza Bennett from Pride & Prejudice. She's stubborn and funny and loyal and I just think she's one of the best ever written.

Thanks for highlighting my card, I've got a couple more up my sleeve too!

KymKreates said...

I read the Lord of the Ring books before they became movies and my male heroe would have to be Aragorn. Then they made him real and heightened my desire for him.He was always watching out for the good in the world and trying to reinstate it. He also had a love that would take him to the ends of the world. I am a sucker for that stuff. My female hero would have to be Jo March from Little Women. She was intelligent and strong willed and would not compromise for anything. Yet in the end she still found love and happiness.

By the way I think your fairies are gorgeous. I love everything about them. I also like that they are digi's less room to keep them. Running out of storage room.

I don't think I could pick just one "favorite" -- there are too many! I had to look up the name you gave. Outlanders -- the summary sounds intriguing. Is it really great? I would like to know more.
Your fairies are outstanding! Can't wait for tomorrow now!

What great cards! I have to say my favorite hero is the boy in The Outsiders who saves Pony Boy from being stabbed.

Love the new faries, so stunning xxxx

Rachel said...

Love the fairies!!! Favorite fictional character hero... hmmmmmm the heroin of course.. DOROTHY!!!

Amy's Stocking Stuffers said...

My favorite of today's crop would have to be Kharmagirl's -- love the red and black, and the skull-patterned paper!

Favorite fictional hero... from books, it's tough. I read so much science fiction, and usually it's about the whole package (plot, characters, setting, big ideas) than about a hero. Mabye Paul Atriedes from the Dune series. But for movies, easy: Han Solo.

(@Angie above -- I love Grover in The Monster at the End of this Book!)

Tina said...

Another beautiful fairy! My favorite fictional hero would be Wonder Woman, of course ;) I even have my very own Wonder Woman t-shirt, lol!

Robin McK said...

Loving those fairies!
I am actually reading the Outlander series right now - I am currently on the Fiery Cross!
Fav book hero: I loved Artemis in the Artemis Fowl series!

I love all of the cards! Wish there was more time in the day to create some fab creations like the ones on display!!
I dont really have a fictional hero it tends to change after each book I read!!

Deconstructing Jen said...

Such great projects!!! These are all gorgeous.

Haha, I'll give you Jamie. He is definitely one of the best written hero's I've come across. I still love Edward but Jamie just got something that makes him more...

So my fave book character... I'm such a sap for old books. I really love the idea and romanticism of Mr. Darcy. Pride and Prejudice is definitely in my top 3 and this character is just so complex and interesting to read.

Christine said...

Wow, what a great post. The cards are fantastic and the fairy is just gorgeous. I hope you will put them in the digi section soon. I love books and have read many throughout my life. This question is sort of difficult though because there are so many characters in the books that I have read that I love. I guess if I truly had to pick it would be Frodo from The Hobbit and The Lord of the Rings series. Timeless depiction of the good and bad traits of humans and struggles we face. Another favorite would be Louis in Interview With a Vampire for some of the same reasons.
xoxo, Christine

I love the winter fairy! She needs a good coating of Glimmer Mist and glitter to make her snowy and sweet. :)

"I will find you," he whispered in my ear. "I promise. If I must endure two hundred years of purgatory, two hundred years without you--then that is my punishment, which I have earned for my crimes. For I have lied, and killed, and stolen; betrayed and broken trust. But there is one thing that shall lie in the balance. When I shall stand before God, I shall have one thing to say, to weigh against the rest."
His voice dropped, nearly to a whisper, and his arms tightened around me.
"Lord, ye gave me a rare woman, and God! I loved her well.

"Claire," he said quietly. "Tomorrow I will die. This child...is all that will be left of me--ever. I ask ye, Claire--I beg you--see it safe."
I stood still, vision blurring, and in that moment, I heard my heart break. It was a small, clean sound, like the snapping of a flower's stem.
At last I bent my head to him, the wind grieving in my ears.
"Yes," I whispered. "Yes, I'll go

Is there anyone other than James Alexander Malcolm MacKenzie Fraser? ;). Id leave my husband for him ;). I even have one of the rings made after the one he gave Claire in the book, and its inscribed with the Latin from of give me a thousand kisses ;). So, yes, Im a fan. Ive met with Diana numerous times. Had breakfast with her once too.

I do love twilight, but not even Edward can compare with my Jamie ;)

Love your winter fairy!

Fav hero from a book? Thats difficult but I love Chaunticleer (from Chaucers Nun's Priest Tail), although I guess he's more of an anti-hero lol

OMG those Twilight cards are awesome, and the new fairies are to die for.

Wow that is hard to pic a hero from a book. I have read so many that nothing is really poping out at me. Hmmm. I would have to say right now it would be Robert Langdon or the Womens Murder Club ladies.
