Farm Fresh Friday....

Hey all...well, it's been an exciting week, has it not?

Today we will wind things down (yeah, right ;) with another Fabulous Farm Fresh Friday! (now, say that 3 times in a row, LOL)First of all, Congrats to Hilde! You are the winner of last week's Farm Fresh Friday sketch challenge! Please email Jessica to claim your prize as you have won Hugh, Savannah, and Laundry!

This week we have a FABULOUS challenge called "It's what inside that Counts". This time our very own Marie came up with the challenge which I think is great because I am always whining that I don't decorate the insides of my cards as often as I should!

Here's the deets:

Rules: Create a card or project using the above sketch. Post it in the Galleria > Contests/Challenges > Farm Fresh Fridays > Inside Counts Challenge

Deadline: Wednesday, September 9, 2009

Prize:
Hugh, Savannah, and Dahlia...a cute trio of Wild Sprouts!

How about a little inspiration? Here are some samples from the DT:

Kim
Mary

Tori

Sparkle

Cindy

Jessica
Cheryl

Kadie
WHEW! That is QUITE the lineup, huh? So much cuteness I can hardly stand it! Can't WAIT to see what you do! Have fun and remember, it's what's on the inside that counts! ;)

Fridays's ASADG winner is:
handstampedbylacey
http://handstampedbylacey.typepad.com/

Email me with your stamp choice and address to claim your prize!

Today's question is: What group were you a part of in highschool?

I was part of the nerds of all nerds group. Ironically I wasn't even that book smart. LOL. I guess I just looked the part.

OMGoodness, this is meant to be! I was just thinking about a swap I'm in and that I should decorate the insides of the cards as well... and then I see our FFF and what do you know?!? It's kizmet! I can't wait to get started! UM, I noticed that the directions said to "use the above sketch" was that a typo? Just a copy&paste from last week's challenge? I just want to make sure I'm doing the challenge correctly!

I was a lonely nerd... I didn't have much friends :-(

Cards are awesome as usual!!!!! I soooooooo love Savannah!!!! Can't wait to get my hands on that stamp!!!!

kadie said...

I love seeing all the different takes on this concept!

I was a choir/theater kid :)

Allison said...

Amazing Cards! The washing machine is so creative, i love it. As far as what group... I definatly hung out on the nerdy side of the school. But really, how many stampers and papercrafters are jocks... We are probably mostly nerdy, interesting to find out though!

Lesley said...

I decorate the insides of my cards - if you call a white insert with a stripe of co-ordinating DP along one side "decorated", LOL!

Great challenge, can't wait to take my insides "up a notch"

As far a cliques go, I was a bit confused. I was a nerd, who competed in track and field, and hung out with the "alternative" crowd (the predecessors of today's goths I would think!), LOL!

Shaela said...

um... the instructions say to use the skecth, but I'm assuming we don't have to, cuz that is last week's sketch? we just need to decorate the inside, right? :)

Tanya Rudd said...

What inspiration! Have a great weekend everyone.

Amy's Stocking Stuffers said...

Holy cow! Y'all just keep raising the bar on these cards. That first laundry/washing machine card is to die for, and I love the kitty cards too!

I was part of "poms" in the marching band, which was unusual because I was so bookish and nerdy.

Carisa said...

Wow, that first card with Laundry totally knocked my socks off!!!!

Awesome lineup - I'm gonna say it, I love the kitties. Yep, they are adorable. hehe

I wasn't part of a group - unless you count band a group. LOL

Erin said...

I'm going to have to put my thinking hat on for this challenge.

Naoual said...

Congrats Hilde, your card is beautiful!

The line up is gorgeous! Love each and every card.

I never decorate the inside of my cards, so this is a real challenge for me.

xx Naoual

Gabby said...

Awesome line up and GREAT challenge! I tend to not do ANYTHING inside my cards...so this will be something new to try! :)

In high school I was part of the "in crowd". Lots of people knew me but I wasn't like most of the in crowd...I was actually nice and said hello to everyone. I did love my band geeks though! <3 my band geeks <3

Risa said...

What beautiful DT cards!!! I love each and every one!

In high school I was part of the musical/theatre groups.

saw Cindy's card on her blog and thought it was adorable.
I don't use a printer so digi stuff is not up my alley but I like what you all have done.

Michelle (mla1111) said...

Such cute cards... love them!

Stephanie said...

great cards girls!! they all turned out awesome...thanks for the inspiration! ♥

Renie said...

Oh gee.....Since its a long weekend I promised myself I was doing this challenge, and you had to make it a difficult one at that, bc I can't be that creative in and out of a card....

As for high school I floated I would have to say. I was in band, theater, sports, Honors, and the leadership community service stuff. So I pretty much fitted where ever I was, unless certain 'popular' people were around

Ida P. Krause said...

Super Cute Cards! - I wasn't really a part of any "group" in High School as I was pretty (Shy) I worked in the Library so maybe I was part of the more "nerdy" group after all.

Stephanie said...

Love the new blog look; it's cute.

I was one of the punky ones... Think "Rainbow Brite", with black hair & skulls.

JessicaRabbit said...

These cards are amazing! I'm going to try to decorate the inside of my cards more.
I was part of the nerds...I was the Captain of the Science Olympiad team..yeah..you can't come back from that.

Berenice said...

Congrats to the winner.

Love the cards! Great Challenge :)

In HS I was part of the English Club we had a lot of fun activities. We helped students with different level. English is my second language. So I loved it :)

A great challenge! Congrats to the winners!

I belonged to the Knights and Ladies club in High School.

Tanya said...

I love the washing machine card!!!

As for high school, I really wasn't part of any group. Suprisingly I was able to have friends in the various groups but was a very quiet person back then :)

Angie said...

Hm, sorta stuck in the no-group group. I had a best friend who was a cheerleader, and another who was totally into sports. I liked drama and was really good at math and language arts, so we were our own little group of non-groupies! I guess towards the end of highschool I was considered the "good-christian-girl" until I got pregnant. Yeah, I didn't fit into any of the molds! LOL!

MommaJess said...

Oh I am the same way about not decorating the inside of my cards either. Thanks for this challenge.

I don't really think I was a part of any group really. I was maybe a floater. I went from group to group and had friends in all the cliques.

MommaJess said...

BTW there is no sketch posted to follow. Or am I just not seeing it?

craftypagan said...

Gorgeous dt projects! Am drooling over the new releases-too cute! Great challenge for this week.

Tasha said...

I was head girl, basketball captain and a geek as i was a straight A student. I had friends in all groups so i cant be boxed lol. Love tasha x

Jen said...

This one time at Band Camp.... Actually, I was on the color guard, or flagteam as we called it in the 80's! So I was a band geek!

Heidi Brawley said...

omg!!!!!!!!!!!!! all these card are freaking cute!!!!!!!! Love them all!!!! Umm... I was in NO group when I was in High School.

I was in the high school percussion section and loved it! Being a female percussionist had its perks! :)

Mary said...

Those cards are great! I have to admit I don't finish the insides of my cards. But something I think I will try to do more of in the future.

In school the group that I hung out with wasn't really defined by being either a nerd or a jock or any other. We just were a group of teens that all got along with each other.

nbells said...

All those cards are beautiful. I absolutely LOVE the laundry card!!! And as for high school... I would have to say I was just average! Just a regular teen!

Cheri Howard said...

I was definitely a NERD in high school!

Barbie said...

WOW! very nice cards. what did Kim use on her card? (plastic bubble looking thing)

Mary said...

Darling card Hilde!
And Wow what incrediable eye candy from the DT!
The Laundry Anya is fantastic!
What did you use for the window?
This is a great challenge!

Crafty Jenn said...

Holy smokes! Look at all those super fabby cards! I'll admit that I'm a little intimidated by this challenge since I NEVER deco the inside.

I was lucky enough in HS to be one of those people that were friends with every group. But I will proundly admit that I was a BAND geek!! ;)

Chris said...

I love the look of a finished interior and it's good to be prodded to do it more often.

All the cards are amazing! Love em all :) I guess I wasn't really a part of any ONE group. I had friends in all groups and sometimes, some of them from each group did not like each other, lol.
Boy was that hard, sometimes! But I have to say, I miss those times :)

Carrie said...

Cute Cute Cute! I wasn't really in a group in high school but I guess if I had to pick one I too was a Nerd.

Jennifer said...

OMG, the talent here is unbelievable, just love the laundry card, good idea to find other uses for those treat cups.

I was the in between crowd, not super cool, but not too nerdy, but closer to the nerds.

BishopsMommie said...

umm think I was in the in between group no sports not smart not popular just in between if thats a group..lol

jo said...

Love this FFF! I wish I didn't have to work all weekend so I could play!

Hmm... in high school I was part of the Yearbook committee... and Newspaper... And the high school musical my senior year! Good times. :)

Char- The Mad Shopper said...

I was part of the peace, love, dove group. Yep, I was a flower child. Showing my age here. lol
I like the fad of finishing the card inside. I do it already on the ones I use, but haven't done it on the ones I sell. Great challenge.

Kim Etherington said...

The insides are beautiful. I was part of the rowdy group. Funny to be buying my grade 1 girls hightops.. just like Mommy use to wear.

Shesjetlagd said...

Those cards are wicked cute... decorating the inside is really something I should do more often - that and my envies. :)
In HS I was part of the Yearbook Club - it's the best cuz then you can make sure you & your friends are all throughout it. he he he

Paperaddict said...

I am sooo thrilled to win! And thank you everyone for such lovely comments - it really warms my heart! For this week's challenge I don't know, seems difficult to match the DT. And that AWESOME laundrymachine-card - WOW! I hardly ever decorate the inside of my cards.... shame on me... (but it's so time consuming, sorry). For that group in HighSchool, I really don't know. I might have been in the nerdy-group (I took my studies seriously), but then again our class was put together based on basketball, so maybe I was a bit sporty (I'd sure like to think so lol...). It was really fun to read the comments above!
