Phew! Long post! I hope to hear from some of you! It's a very thrilling but nervous moment for me but let's make this a super adventure!

Today's question is: Should TGF trim our rubberstamp singles? Yes or No.

This is another big decision that I have to make soon. We are working on new packaging and etc for next year so I'd like to know what you think about trimming. Would you like us to have pre-trimmed stamps? The price, however, will go up $1 but it will be nicely trimmed for you. I leave the decision up to you ladies!

Wow! So much going on :-) I'm so excited about digi-scrapbooking! I'm a mixed media person but I love just playing around with my PSE7. As for trimming the stamps save time and money and leave them as they are :-) Sometimes I don't even trim them myself (heehee)

Wow Marie! So many wonderful new things going on! Up, up and away-good for you (and us!) I don't mind trimming my stamps myself, it's kinda fun, like to keep cost down. Not quite a digital person yet but hey, i'll try it. Lots of luck with all your new endeavors!

nina said...

I was going to say that for $1 trimming sounds good, but I guess if you buy a bunch that'll add up! So my vote is no for the trimming (or leave it as an option). Can't wait to hear what else is in store this month!

Margie said...

Ooo, digi-scrapping! How cool! I am so not with it! LOL! I have no idea where to start! I'm very interesting in seeing and trying ;)

I love my TGF singles they way they are! Easy to store them that way too! However, I'd like it if the sets where pre-cut ;) I haven't found the right pair of scissors to cut them down yet!

Good luck with the new DT call :*)

Stephanie said...

Jeez, it really is a crazy month for you! Good luck with the DT call - since I know NOTHING about digital scrapbooking, it'll be awesome to see what they come up with! In answer to your question: I'm definitely on the 'no trimming' side of the fence! The less I spend on single stamps, the more I get to buy! WOO! =)

Petraso said...

Wow! That it going be a thriller to se what the didgi team Would do!!!! Love it!!!!

Maylee said...

I rather have the stamps come trimmed, I always have a hard time when there are small details that my scissors can't get into. Thanks for asking for our opinion.

RiNNE said...

Yes, I vote to trim! It's hard to always clean off the edges when I play / create with my stamps!

Lysa said...

Wow! So many great things going on! I would love to see the stamps trimmed too- its my least favorite part of stamping!

Ria said...

Awesome news about the digi scrapbooking!!!
I would say no to the trimming. I have no problem cutting it out myself. And mostly I leave it like I bought it ;)

hugs Ria

Kris said...

Lots of great things are happening... WOW!!! Congrats to the first ASADG winner!!! Yay!

trim? no trim? doesn't matter.. i don't normally trim mine... but like another blogging sister said, when you buy a bunch the cost will add up...

Nikki said...

Hi
I don't mind trimming stamps it's not to bad at all also it helps when you use really good scissors to get into those tougher Places
plus it saves you $$ how bad can that be
Good luck with all the new DT's

Lailani said...

I vote trim! I don't like trimming mine myself and would love to have them ready to go when they come in the mail. I love digital! I'm new to digital myself and love it! I don't think my stuff is good enough to be on a DT though..good luck and can't wait to see what they come up with:)

joni h said...

trim the stamp, don't trim the stamp, either way I'll gladly pay for TGF stamps!!! guess that doesn't help, huh...I'll go for trimming the stamp.

Angie said...

Omgoodness there are lots of things popping up at the Farm! I don't really want the singles already cut for me. I love cuttingout my stamps and hearing the *snip**snap* of the scissors going through the rubber! lol! I can't wait to see the new digital stuff! I am not a digi scrapper, but I'm interested in learning so maybe this will finally get me into the digi scrapping world!

cabio's craft corner said...

Lots to read on the blog and need to learn more about digi. For your question, I would vote "Yes" for trimming single!
BTW, thanks for a chance to win.
Hugs,

I say "YES" to trimming... It wears out the scissors to much and I am just not that great with it. I do so love my stamps. Really excited about all the new stuff going on over at TGF......

Kathy said...

Oh thanks so much for the chance for some free stamps!!
As far as the trimming goes I think it looks nicer but I would rather do it myself and save for more stamps!! LOL
thanks again :)Kathy

Haven't you been a busy bee! I've never tried digital or regular scrapbooking but might just have to start. I don't trim stamps so I'd prefer to keep the price lower so that I can buy even more stamps.

Good morning Marie, wow so many things going on! i don't mind trimming my own stamps i find it quite relaxing anyway, and if it helps keep the cost down im sure we would prefer to do it ourselves and spend the extra money on more stamps! hugs Linda x

Hi Marie! I don't mind trimming my own stamps - I actually find it kind of relaxing!! :-)Traci

I would like the option of trim or no trim because some of the images have very detailed portions. Some Anya stamps I've left "whole" and they work fine, too. Thanks for asking!

Hi. Thanks again for the opportunity to win free stamps. I prefer to trim my own stamps.

Jenny said...

Can't wait to see what the Digi-team comes up with! I think I would give up having the stamps trimmed to keep the cost from going up. I tend to buy most of the new stuff that comes out, so it will definitely add up!

I have been stalking your blog for some time after admiring work made with your stamps. As for trimming stamps, you'll probably find a lot of beginner stampers will prefer it pre-trimmed. I prefer them pre-trimmed - finding good scissors is a nightmare for me, but in the end it's what your customers prefer. :)

nbells said...

Wow! So much going on for you =) Congrats on the success!!! I don't mind having to trim the stamps. But having them trimmed would be good too. Either way, I look forward to all the new & exciting things to come.

ohh you spoil us, I think I like them trimmed and $1 isn't much to ask, but maybe you could offer both options trimmed and untrimmed hugs Jill xx

I buy a lot of TGF stamps so an extra $1 makes a huge difference. I'd rather keep cost down and keep it the way it is.

As for digi scrapping, I love, love, love it! I'm actually teaching at our LSS! So excited for your new expansion to the TGF family!

Aloha!

Maureen said...

I vote no on the trimming. I'd rather spend the extra money on more stamps!

I was wondering if you've ever considered selling just the plain rubber for other mounting options? I've been using the thin EZ Mount to save space lately and would love to have the option with my TGF stamps as well. Thanks!!

Risa said...

Wow..I'm excited about the digital design team! Although I am super challenged with digital scrap booking, I would love to see the teams creations.
As for the stamps, pre-cut rubber is nice, but to keep the prices down, I would rather trim my own stamps.

I don't think it's too difficult for us to trim the stamps ourselves.

WOW...you have got a busy month. I would love to win free stamps.....random.org please pick me.
In respect of trimmed or untrimmed, I vote to leave them as they are....a $1 per stamp soon adds up. Also I use Tim Hotlz scissors and they cut the stamps easily and there is no sticky mess.

Wow! Your really do have a lot of wonderful new things happen, can't wait to see the digi-scrapping line, it's not something i've done alot of, but i love trying new things.

As for trimming stamps, i actually enjoy trimming my TGF stamps, it's all part of the fun of getting new rubber. I really appreicate the fact that they all come mounted on foam ready for us, so many companies don't pre mount them for us, and that sure adds to the cost.

I can't wait to see what you'll do next!

I'd love to see your stamps trimmed! I hate it when I undercut the rubber and my hands hurt when I have a pile to do, so I vote for them to be cut for me!!

Anjou Krelovich said...

So exciting that you guys have so much going on! And to answer today's questions, I don't mind hand-trimming stamps at all....

Frances said...

wow lots going on! I vote for leave untrimmed . . as someone else says, I kinda enjoy that bit of it too (my Kai scissors makes it super easy) plus rather spend extra on more rubba LOL xx

Rachel said...

Added the stamp to my blog!

I would rather not have them trimmed. I love TGF stamps but if they move up to $8 a stamp it just gets way too pricey on a per-stamp basis and stamps aren't too hard to trim :)

StampinCathy said...

Alot of things going on around here these days. I can go either way. Trim stamps are nice, but sometimes I still trim them closer. Thanks for a chance.

the paper bug said...

Hi Marie!

So much going on! You're doing a fantastic job of keeping us interested and excited about the farm. ;)

I don't mind the single stamps not being pre-cut. I like the idea of keeping prices a little lower this way.

Have a great day!

Peggy said...

Hi Marie!!
The rubber your stamps are made with is super easy to cut so I vote "no trimming". If it helps keep costs down that is an added plus! Love, love, love digi scrapbooking!!

Trim, YES!!!!!!!!

Ashley said...

Such exciting stuff! I can trim my own stamps, I do love them already mounted though!

Lindy Stamper said...

Wow, Marie, you remember not even a year or so ago that this is a small little group and now you're ready for another DT. That's just an amazing success, I'm so happy for you!

I'd like the stamps to be trim, but if I have to trim my own it's also not a big deal. :)

Caroljenks said...

Wow you are a busy lot! I love Digi crafting - can't wait :)

As for the trimming - I too love to hear the sound of my scissors 'chomping' through the rubber! But it may be an idea to offer customers either - that way those that HATE cutting them will be able to buy them ready done, and those of us that are ok doing it can buy more!!!

I don't mind trimming my stamps! also, saves me money. thanks for the wonderful wonderful opportunity!

Molly Joly said...

I'd say leave the stamps and I'll use the extra money to buy more stamps (I know I'm not the first comment to say that!) :>

Keep up the great work!

Krista said...

Hmmm...trimmed stamps. I think I'd be ok with it either way. I don't hate trimming them but it's kinda nice not to have to. So I guess my vote would be for trimmed even with the price increase. Your shipping is so reasonable that I wouldn't mind paying for trimming. Thanks for all the great give-a-ways!!

Jeanette said...

To trim or not to trim, that is the question.

For me, I'd say not to trim them, cuz if I save a little money by trimming them myself, soon I'll have enough money to buy more of them.

Thanks for asking!

Ooh I'd love to learn to digital scrapbook. It's on my someday learn list. Haha! As for trimming my vote is no. I prefer to trim my own.

Thanks Marie

I would like the stamps to stay the way they are. But I think having the option of having them trimmed or not trimmed is a good idea.

Tina said...

No trimming. I don't mind doing that myself. Besides, it sounds like you have enough things going on. Thanks for asking though.

Wow! There is alot going on at the farm this week! While I don't digi-scap, I think it is great that you are offering this to those that do.

WoW! How exciting, I can't wait to see what you have in store for us all! As far as today's question I say don't trim the stamps, I love taking the time to trim my stamps, it sort of gets things going for me. I take all my stamps and trim away while watching TV, its a nice relaxing thing. Plus, I would think the cost would go up if they were trimmed and we can't have that!

Dee in Oklahoma said...

Wow! What a wonderful news!
I like both ways of cutting and non-cutting. Since I have sciccors, cutting is kind of the begining of a new adventure in the stamping!
Maybe you can have two options, and this way everybody can meke a choice!
Thank you so much for taking caring about us!!!

That's a tough one. At first I thought, that would be a nice feature, but the $1 adds up and could be used to buy more stamps, so I say don't trim.

handstampedbylacey said...

Wow, so much awesome news! No, I don't prefer pre-trimed images. When mounting on my own cling mount, I prefer to have a little wiggle room so the rubber and foam are trimmed together.

I don't do digital scrapbooking -- there is something so fun playing with the papers and embellishments by hand. I have friends who swear by it though.
My vote would be "no" to the trimming if the pricing goes up. Or you you off it as an option. Cutco sewing scissors are sharp and precise -- really great if anyone is interested.

As for trimming, I like the idea of trimmed, but I can see that it might make things costly if someone bought several. Sooo, I'm not sure where I stand on that one.

Good luck with the digi DT, I haven't opened my PSP in months, well not totally true, I designed a wedding card there last month. But I dont do scrapbook stuff.

Wow this is great news. I love all your stamps and I think Digi is a fun change of pace. As for trimming, it's more convenient but it's not a "must have" for me.

I love all that you guys are doing, keep up the GREAT work. As for trimming, I dont mind doing it so I vote to keep it the way it is.

Oooh, lot of stuff going on here. I just found you guys so I need to chek out the blog. ta ta for now :)

I just got introduced to your stamps and immediately had to purchase your FLUTTER ANYA.

I'm also new to DIGI STAMPS and even purchased Pretty Head Rachel.

I prefer to use them with Scrapbooking but have no ideas. Maybe someone can throw a contest on using your images that way instead of just cards. I'm not much into card making ;)

I prefer trimmed but it would be nice to have both options available. If I was buying a bunch at once then I'd probably opt for un-trimmed to save some money. All the best to you & your new choices! I love your line of stamps!

I may well be in the minority, but I prefer paying extra for trimmed and even mounted! I think it's just because I'm not confident in my abilities as a crafter yet. I'm afraid I'll do something wrong or mess it up! ;-)

WOW digi scrapbooking & the greeting farm! sounds like fun

Lisa Hjulberg said...

Digital scrapbooking, eh? I can't wait to see what that's about!

To trim or not to trim... I prefer trimmed because I hate cutting rubber.

Kelly Schelske said...

Wow, digi scrapbooking, can't wait!

As for trimming, my vote is no, I trim before I mount anyway:-)

wow...busy time! I say nah to the trimming! :)

I don't mind trimming the stamps my self.

wow, fun things happening!!! My vote on the trimming is this: if you have a machine do it (so they're nice and die cut) then YES, I would love to have them trimmed! Otherwise, I can do it by hand myself. :)

I'd pay $1 more for them to be trimmed. I'm sure you all would do a better job than I can.

Chrissy's Creations said...

I like to trim them myself because I tend to lean a little to the right when stamping and I know how to tweak the trimming to get a perfect image every time.

Happy stamping! Christine

Just a beginner in the digi world, but I've been reading up & saving tutorials all over the place. I don't have a problem trimming my own stamps, though I really love the die cut ones I've purchased elsewhere. Would love to win the stamp of the day - love everything TGF, whatever you do!

Woweeeeee, Lots going on today, You weren't kidding when you said you had many new things on the horizon.

1st - about the trimming. I actually like to trim them myself, for 2 reasons. 1 of them being the excitement of having to wait. It's so much fun when my images come, and before I can do anything I get to trim it, it's suspenseful. Yeah Yeah I know, I'm nuts! and second, I like to have my images trimmed fairly close, because of my storage system then allows me to store more on a sheet. I like keeping the cost down, and I would probably end up trimming them anyway.

Congrats on all your upcoming exciting news!

Hugs
Lynda =)

I vote for not trimming the stamps. I actually like trimming the stamps myself (it's relaxing).

Marie,
I am not interested in Digi Scrapbooking, but I wanted to tell you that I don't mind trimming my own stamps especially if it keeps the price down. How awesome of you to offer free stamp giveaways. You Rock!

My vote is yes, trim. I would gladly pay an extra $1.00 to not have to trim my stamp because I am so clunky at it!.

Things are getting exciting on the farm. I've never done digital scrapping, but I can't wait to see what the team you put together comes up with!
I vote to trim..just because I'm not very good at it..and I like things with nice clean edges. I know the vote is for singles..but it would be really nice for the sets.

Verry cool things happenning this month! Your stamps are awsome. Keep the cute images coming :)

Donna said...

yes on the trimming the less I have to do the better. It is worth an extra $ 1 to me. Not yet sure about the digi-scraping

Alice Wertz said...

I adore your cute designs although I just discover this company not very long ago. I'll probably place an order soon... :) Since I have never purchase your stamps before, I would rather keep the price down so that I can order more.... =)

I would say trimmed is well worth an extra dollar!!

Oooo Marie,

No No No No NO NO do not trim the stamps!!! I use every bit of the rubber on my cards as pop up pieces!!!! All that additional rubber and foam go to good use on my cards!!!!!!

I could not do without it because I love TGF foam and rubber the best because it is the thickest of any stamps I get and the best quality as far as I can tell!!!!!

Please NO NO NO!!!

Heather

I would vote NO for trimming!
I trim all my stamps and haven't had any problems with that - so I don't mind if the stamps stay as they are. I kind of like the process also.. :)

I am a newbie on your blog, but it is full of fun and exciting ideas and activities going on. As for trimming the stamps; I don't mind doing it myself.
