Guest - Julie Campbell

Happy Friday friends!!! Today we have a special guest spotlight! Julie Campbell is one of those whose work is so good that you sometimes get a pain of envy. Well I do anyway. I'm thrilled to reveal these good works to you and I know you will enjoy.

Another sweet twist today is that I haven't had a secret giveaway in ages soooo... leave a comment today and someone will be randomly selected to win all 3 of the stamps I previewed yesterday! That's right! All 3! Good luck to you all and I'll announce the winner on Monday as well as the new Summer Gardeners DT. Remember if you are applying, Sunday night is the deadline.

Julie Campbell
http://www.stampedinhisimage.blogspot.com/

How long have you been stamping?
The first thing I ever stamped was my wedding invitations, which was 10 years ago! I didn't really get serious about it until a few years later.

What's your tool of choice?
I love my Copic Markers!

Describe yourself in 3 words.
easy-going, genuine, dedicated

If you had a stamp line, what would you call it?
Stamped In His Image

What's your favorite TGF stamp set?

Miss Anya

If you were a color, what would you be? Why?

Ooh! This is a tough one! I would have to go with robin's egg blue. The color just feels calm and peaceful... with a youthful twist that makes it both timeless and trendy. I think my personality is a lot like that.

Descibe your crafting area.
I have a LOT of stuff packed into a tiny area. I love using anything 'new' and 'now', so I keep all of my freshest things at my fingertips to inspire me. There's a place for everything, but you probably wouldn't be able to tell just by looking at it. I like to think of it as organized clutter.

When making cards, what are your favorite colors to use?
I love using punches of color along with neutrals such as kraft, dark brown, or black.

Do you listen to music while you stamp?

No, but that sounds like a good idea! :) I usually like to sneak into my craft room while my kids are occupied with something else, and I don't want to make any sounds to alert them of my whereabouts. :)

3 wishes:
peace, joy, & love

Have a super safe and creative weekend! I'll be slaving over packages. lol.

Today's question is: You're climbing up a beanstalk and enter the giant's house. There's a mountain of treasure. You grab the:

1) Golden Ink - it never runs dry
2) Golden Paper - it turns into the perfect paper for any project
3) Golden Stamp - it becomes the image of your hearts desire

Ahhh I chooseth the Golden Paper. To have project perfect patterned paper at my fingertips is worth selling my cow for.

Ugh. You're right. Julie makes me green with envy. haha! Wow, what a wonderful talent for Friday's showcase! Her cards are so pretty and unique, I love love that "I will not sass" one with Annika. It made me giggle! Beautiful details on her cards, the raindrops are very pretty. Thank you for the inspiration Julie!
Today's question...hmmm, I would say Golden Paper too. That would save on so much storage! :D Or I would sell my neighbor's cow too and ask for Golden Scissors that could cut out all of my images. ;)

Melissa Craig said...

Lovely line - Julie you did a fabulous job!

No Golden Egg... I'm kidding, I would grab the Golden Paper. My issue is always not having the right paper on hand.

Islander Girl said...

Julie's work is incredible! Love how u feature different stampers! More blogs for me to visit!

I would definitely choose the Golden Stamp!!! Ah to have any stamp image at my finger tips would be oh so wonderful!

Oooh. Hope I win! LOL! Thanks for giving us the opportunity for a chance to win free stamps! Yeay!

Aloha!

Rosette said...

Ohoh.. it's tough between golden paper and stamp... there are from both that I always dream of having on my finger tips!!! I think I'll decide on the stamp... as they are still out of reach in my country (the cute ones I like).. while paper is coming.. even though we still have very poor choice!

Julie I have been admiring your cards in the gallery for a while and Marie is right I am mega jealous :) Seriously your cards are stunning and I love the colour combo's you use.
AS for todays question well it would have to be the golden paper no question. I just love papers and patterned papers it normally takes me ages going through boxes to get the right one this would save a lot of time and space :)

Wow! Her work is gorgeous! I thought you were just being nice before I scrolled down to take a look. ;)

How much time do I have in the giant's home? Can I use the ink to stamp on the paper? 'Cause I would do that as much as I could and end up taking the paper home.

Can't wait for Monday! New items and a DT Gardener announcement (I need to submit mine). I just love the new stamp set!

Don't work too hard on those packages Marie.

What a beautiful bright cheery line up, i love how you use colour Julie, your cards are full of such energy it's truely inspiring and scary.

Today's question, well it was a hard choice between the Golden Paper and the Golden Stamp, but the Golden Stamp won(stamps always do with me) and if you have the perfect image you could make your own background papers to compliment it ;)

Thanks for the opportunity to win those 3 gorgeous little girls.

Happy Crafting All

Julie's card are amazing, loved the teacher box! I am a paper junkie so I would have to go with the paper.

JenRaff said...

My instant thought was the Golden Stamp but the idea of having "perfect" Golden Paper is appealing, too. I buy so much paper and then forget some of it. And Joni makes a great case for saving on the storage so I guess I would go with the Golden Paper.
Your stamps are already the most perfect I have found!! :)

Love the last card with the school girl and the blackboard "I will not sass". How cute! I think we need a school boy, too. "I will not tease girls".

Have a great weekend. I am off to my son's kindergarten recital. Can't wait!

Jenn Borjeson said...

I'd have to agree with you - the Golden Paper! I am definitely addicted to papers and find that I spend most of my $$$ on them!

I love Julie's cards, they are just great!

joey said...

Hi, oooh Julies cards are gorgeous I love the box for the teacher. OOOOh I think I would take the Golden Stamp the thought of having a stamp there anytime and always new yeah! suits me lol. Joey.x

What a way to bring in the weekend. All I can say is WOW and then my jaw hits the floor and then I think I fainted. Great inspiration Julie.

Yes I too think the golden paper has it.

AShu93 said...

I think the paper too. I like someone else's idea that it would save on storage.

Julie's cards are beautiful. And if you're reading this Julie, I would love to know what the exact copic colors are that you used for the first Miss Anya's hair.

Beautiful examples! I really like the teacher's gift.

I'd have to say golden paper, too.

Pascale said...

These cards are divine Julie. I wish I had your amazing talent!!!!! I love how you interpret the themes of the stamps. I love them all and could not pick a favourite. As for the question it would have to be golden stamp for me then I could have the whole greeting farm collection and all the other stamps that I want to collect. Hugs Pascalex

Tracey Feeger said...

Yep I agree with everyone else - Julie makes me green with envy. I wish I could come up with brilliant work like that.

So if I had to chose from the three then I would definately pick the Golden Stamp. To have the stamp that you desire any time you want - gosh that would be a real wish indeed.

Wow, there are some lovely cards there!
I'd have to go for the Golden Stamp, think of all the space you'd save!

Nancy said...

Gorgeous cards, Julie! They are all so vibrant! The "I will not sass paper" is adorable!!

Today's question: I would have to agree on the golden paper because I think I have almost every stamp, and the paper would bring it all together!!

KanataNewf said...

What beautiful cards and projects today! As for the treasure - golden paper it is!

Tonya said...

Julie, I adore your work, but I think you already know that!! It is so crisp and well put together. Your coloring is fabulous and you just have an eye for designs. You definitely deserve to be featured!

Hmmm I have The Greeting Farm stamps so I would go with the golden paper. Put the two together and you have a masterpiece. *wink*

Angie said...

I love Julie's work! I stalk *ahem* BROWSE her blog daily. I love her answer to the color question, and I sneak away from my kiddos when I stamp too! lol! If I make any noise, my kids want to stamp with me and use my precious Copics, and my DD tries to open ALL my stamps!
If I had to pick just one of the treasures, I'd definitely choose the paper. I love having paper to start my project off with! Hm... I need to go paper shopping! lol! Oh, and the secret giveaway is awesome! I wanna win!

Cecile said...

Lovely work AND a secret giveaway? We're so lucky!

A Golden Stamp would solve all my late night "Shoot...I wish I had thought to get [insert sentiment/shape/design]," moments.

Kristi said...

Julies work is amazing. I am a little bit jealous-she chooses just the right colors. I would have to choose the golden stamp. To always have the image you need readily available would be ideal.

Mary said...

Absolutely! The Golden Paper is my choice as well ...although the goose that lays the golden egg so I can have enough money to buy all the craft materials I want would be nice as well!

Emily said...

Julie's cards rock!!! I would have to go with the ink that never runs out...maybe I could sell it...to buy more stamps!!!!

The cards, tags, and holder Julie made are outstanding. Definitely inspirational.

I would choose the golden ink because I have had many a gold inkpad quickly dry out on me. I actually switched to Versamark and gold embossing powder for a while to avoid the frustration.

Annabelle said...

thanks for the great opportunity to win. Loved Julie´s work, very creative.

I definetly choose the Golden Paper, love to have the perfect paper for any occasion.

Sandra MacLean said...

Ahhh...I {heart} Julie's work! :) Such clean lines and you know what?? I think Julie already has the golden paper!!! LOL I'd choose the golden paper too - it makes or breaks a project for me! Thanks for the surprise candy Marie!!

PaperCrafty said...

Julie, your cards are AMAZING!!! I just love all the punches of color you use!

Novell said...

It's always a joy to see Julie's creations. Thanks for sharing her cards with us!

Hmm...I think I have to go with Golden Stamp. I find myself saying, "I wish I had...." with a stamp far more than I do with paper. Maybe that's because I'm buried in paper. Of course if you ask my kids & husband they'd say I'm just as buried in stamps, too.

kadie said...

Wow, so many comments already! Good luck everyone!

I do envy Julie's outstanding abilities as well. I love her style so much!

I would go for the golden stamp...I think it would save me space to have a magical stamp...right now they are taking over my house! (You know I love it though!!)

Jennifer McGee said...

Great guest! I love all of her creations, but I too loved the Annika one with the I will not sass designer paper.

Which leads into my answer for today's question; Golden Paper it is - then I don't have to stress about cutting into my pretty papers, I'll always have enough to complete all my projects.

Michelle (mla1111) said...

What fabulous cards!!! I just ordered my first Anya stamps & I am so excited to get them... They sure are gorgeous girls :)

I guess I would choose the golden paper too.. it doesn´t matter how much paper you have, sometimes you just can´t find the perfect one for the project you´re working on. I would like to thank you for sending me my stamps all the way to sweden so fast!!
I couldn´t fill in my blog in the OpenID so I´ll write it here instead http://pyblo.se/thezzan

Diana said...

Wow, that girl is rockin out and totally deserves the spotlight.

I think I'd choose the golden stamp. I can figure out (or even invent) papers and I love to buy more inks and markers, but I think the perfect stamp for every occasion would be too hard to resist.

Oh my though... secret prize... I would LOVE me some more TGF.

Great cards!

I would definitely choose Golden Paper for the reason you gave. Having just the right paper is so important. I am such a paper freak. :-)

Crystal said...

Amazing Cards Julie! I love the "Thinking of you".

I would have to go for the golden stamp. I can never get what's in my head to look to same out on paper.

Martha said...

so so cute creations., oh i hope I win, hope I win ;)

V said...

Gah! That's a tough question. Definitely not the golden Ink. I don't have a problem with dry ink pads. I usually only use a good black, so I'm pretty well set there. I'm terribly picky about my paper, though, so that's ever so tempting. I think of the three though, I'd have to go with the golden stamp. To have my favourite stamp each time I stamped would be wonderful!

eds6619 said...

Oh I just love your stamps. They are too cute!! I'm very impressed! Everyone's cards are great too. Lots of talent here!

Jenny said...

These cards are really cute. For today's question... hmmmmmmmm.... I think I'll have to do with the golden stamp. Its normally the focal point of your card/project, so to have whatever I want/needed would be awesome... like having a designer at your fingertips!
