Sketch Challenge for Candy

Great day folks! Ahhh I know I haven't done a sketch in eons. Very sorry about that. It seems I want to do a billion things these days and apparently there are only 24 hrs in the day. Ok so today as promised, we have a sketch challenge! I know what you're thinking: wow Marie, can your sketches be any simpler than this? And the answer is Yes it can! LOL. But simplicity leaves lots of room for extra creativeness!

So if you'd like, please play along and add this to your sketch library! Those who participate in this challenge will be in a drawing to win this:

Nestabilities Labels One

Actually you can choose this or a stamp set of your choice. Heehee, in case you already have this die. Anyhoos, upload your sketch into the Challenges/Contest folder in the Gallery. I will put a folder in there that says: Sketch for Candy. I'll announce the Candy winner on Monday. =)

Ok we have a short lineup today but very cute and very cool!

This first one is by Jenn M.! You've probably seen it if you've been on her blog but I wanted to show him here too cuz he's too stinkin' cute!

Fisherman by Cheryl! Yes Ian, you are a great catch! And there's little gardening Anya too!

Another cute fisherman, this time by Janna. Wonderful coloring here! And I just want to pinch those little cheeks! Hey wait a minute! He's throwing out the lifesaver! OK this is just tooo cute!

That's it for our tiny but great lineup. And let's close off today with pictures of my staff hard at work! (Hard at work on those treats! LOL!)

Doesn't Stewie look like some alien dog? LMAO!!!

Can any dog look happier than this? LOL!

Have a great day my friends! I will see you tomorrow for Farmer's Market! Market opens at 6:00am(mst). The early bird catches the worm!

Today's question is: What was the longest time you've ever spent on making a card?

I usually spend about half hour on my cards max. Then I spend like two hours cleaning up. LOL.

I LOVE that sketch! The ideas are brewing...Your sample card is sweet Marie - that would have taken me a whole day to come up with! I love the card lineup, fisherman Ian just so adorable!
BTW, I think Stewie and Bailey are mad that Daisy has been made into rubber. HAHA! That's why they're taking out their aggression on their toys and slacking on the job. ;)
The question of the day - it takes me a while to make a card. I have to multitask, it's as if everyone in the house can smell cardstock when I try to work on one. lol! If I'm lucky I can get one done per day.
I'm off to sound out the word verification (am I the only one who does that?). Have a great day everyone!

Love the sketch!! I'll have to work on it tonight after dd's dance class!!! Whooo-hooo!!!

Today's question: Hmmm, I think the longest I've ever spent on a card is about 45 minutes - that is, given uninterrupted stamping time.

Oh gosh... I take more than an hour to colour in the image... sometimes it takes me 3/4 hrs to finish a card.. that means till I am REALLY happy about adding much details!! hehe

I love the sketch, Marie!!! So pretty! And your card is awesome!!! What a great blog candy!!!
Love happy doggies pictures too!
Believe or not I spent more than three hours on one card... First, I color the image, and it takes me several tries, until I will like it. Then I try to find the wright paper... Also takes me a lot of time and if I will plus cleaning time it takes one more hour! I am not as talented as all of you...

Love the sketch and can't wait to play! I have my new Miss Anya stamps so she's a "gotta ink" stamp for this challenge!

I think I can easily spend about 2 hours on a card but don't think I have gone much over that - unless it is something I set aside and finish up a 2nd day!

Ooooh, can't wait to play with the sketch....

Those workers of yours look like they've taken their work to heart...lol...

As for cards...usually, I average 2.5 hours..sometimes a bit more, sometimes a bit less...but 2.5 average for sure...

Awesome sketch! I hope to get some time to play this week! Adorable samples!! It takes me anywhere from 1-2 hours to finish a card usually. I keep changing my mind about one thing or another and the card never ends up looking the way I thought it would (which isn't a bad thing at all! LOL).

Oh FUN Sketch! I've got my thinking cap on...

Today's question...
I usually spend at least 2 hours on a card, sometimes more...I'm into Re-dos apparently, I often have more in my trash can than my card box. I once did a card over 8times!!! I was finally happy with it though :)

GREAT sketch...I hope to play along :) great card picks today too!! Janna does AMAZING coloring work!!

Question of the day...the longest it's EVER taken me to make a card??? once was a few hours...because it was an intricate pattern that I decided to color (crazy me) but the end result was SO worth it! usually - 1/2 hour maybe 45 mins...tops. Have a great day!!!

Oh, great sketch! I can't believe you only spent a half hour on that card! Wow!
All of the cards are so cute today. I love Jen's with the "spin the wheel" and Janna's with the net! And Cheryl's ribbon treatments and coloring are awesome!!

My cards usually take a couple hours, but that's because layouts and papers take me forever to decide on. I'm happy for the sketch today--layout is covered! :)

Ooohhh Marie...I already have an idea brewin' in my head for this sketch! You're staff is too too tooooooo cute!

As far as how long I've worked on a card...hmmm...including coloring but NOT clean up...lol...3+ hours! It was the Geisha Anya card in my gallery. I think what took most was making the head wear.

Awesome sketch! Love all the cards.
And Bailey and Stewie, they are so funny. LOL!

Today ??? It's depends. Sometime half an hour, and sometime I can sit at my corner all day, I organized, cut this and that, surf the net, watch TV, and still come out of nothing. :-D

Everyone's cards are awesome as is your sketch! I might just have to play along! Wow Jenn's card is awesome w/ the "Dare to be different" and that blue streak! How rad is that???

I do love that pic of Stewie the alien dog treat lover...

Wow that is a good question. I'm going to say you have seen the card that took me the longest recently LOL...what was that, two days? ha ha. No, prob 2 hrs total, but usually I take about 1/2 hr too. Have a great day everyone!

how funny, i was just telling my husband this last night., that it takes me more to clean up than actually do the card ;)

I LOVE Stewie! More Stewie pics!

Love your sketch and card!
Jenn, I really like the blue streak in Ian's hair!

The longest I've ever spent on a card would be 3 hours!! I know when I've hit repeat on my CD player 3 times...it's probably time to move on.

Okay, off to work on my sketch!

cards... hhmm, I have already on rare occasions started a card one day, and finished the next, only because I wasn't happy with it OR I needed to come up with something else to make the card wonderful, and something I would enjoy recieving. I've not ever thought that was an issue, because I do enjoy card makin, and it's the least expensive form of therapy that I know... but my husband might argue that point!! HA!

I think the shortest amount of time is about 2-3 hours. The average for me is about 1-2 cards a day. Sometimes I have to put it aside and look at it in the morning. What stumped me the day before is always clear in the morning!
Joni I am the same way, I to sound out the word verification!! I don't know why I do, I just need to make some kind of sense out of the nonsense of letters.

Marie you don't want to know how long I spend on a card, way longer than half hour. Around an hour to make it and another half hour to take a picture, edit the picture and post to my blog.

Love this sketch, I uploaded mine to the gallery.

I finished the sketch. My first one :). It didn't turn out the greatest but it is better in person than in the pic.

I think the longest I have spent on a card is 2hours. If there is a bunch of cutting out it take me extra time.

That sketch is awesome and so are the cards from the DT. And what a great prize!! Mine is posted on my blog and in the gallery as well. I'm pretty speedy when it comes to cards... a half hour? Hour tops.

I loved this sketch! I participated and uploaded to the gallery just a bit ago. I've spent DAYS on a card before. I was having trouble completing it so I had to walk away and come back the next day to finish! In one sitting, I've spent about 2 hours on a card also. Bad, I know!
